  1. You make a good points. I think you’re probably right. Thank you!!!
  2. Today I had intercourse for the first time in about a month since my first outbreak. I’ve been clear for 2 weeks now and actually feel pretty well. Intercourse hurt today. I’m wondering if it’s because I’m not used to it? Maybe I was a little tense? It was the friction more than anything. Is this normal after your first outbreak. Will this get easier?
  3. @Jny- thank you. I was just hoping it didn’t mean I was getting ready to have another outbreak. I’ll call my doctor for sure. Thank you!
  4. I had nerve pain in my butt during the outbreak. I’ve beem free and clear for a over a week and now I’m having nerve pain again in my left butt cheek. Does this mean I’m going to have another OB or is it a simple reminder that I have Hsv1? Is this part of the shedding? Am I contagious when I have this pain? Is this related to the H? I feel like every little pain i have is related.
  5. How soon after a breakout am I able to have sex and oral sex. I have HSV1 and got over my first break out a week ago. I saw my doctor a week ago and she told me to wait one week after I finish my meds (that was a week ago) and maybe one more. So 2 weeks after the BO has healed. Would you all agree? I feel great down south! I know there is shedding going on after the BO but how long does that last. My bf has not been tested and doesn’t want to get tested; I just don’t want to infect him. So sex and oral sex.. any thoughts or experiences?
  6. Libra- thanks! It’s nice to celebrate these baby steps
  7. Is there a risk of transmission through a womens cum during oral sex Sorry if this is too personal but i didnt know how to ask the question. This is all new to me ...
  8. Tonight was the first time in 2 weeks that I didn’t need to blot when I went to the bathroom. That means I’m starting to heal. Thank goodness! Maybe now I can start to feel a little more normal. This makes me happy. Baby steps .......
  9. How do I tell my husband I tested positive for HSV1? He didn’t give it to me as he’s never had a cold sore. I already told the guy who I got it from ....
  10. Yes I know I have to tell him I’m just not sure how to do it. I see my doctor again on Tuesday and will talk with her about that.
  11. I was diagnosed about 5 days ago with HSV-1. The guy I was seeing periodically had a cold sore. He does get them every so often and contracted it when he was a child. We’ve been seeing each other off and on for about 2 years. He’s always very careful and will not even kiss me when it’s active. He had a stubborn cold sore a couple weeks ago and it took awhile to go away. Here’s the deal ... we hadn’t had oral sex in a couple months and about 5 days before I was diagnosed we did. What I’m confused about is that my vagina was sore before we did it; I thought it was from a strong soap I used. Is it possible I contracted this at another time rather than last week? I have told him and he’s devastated he gave this to me. He told me the cold sore was just starting to come back when he went down on me and It was literally only a minute. My OB seems to be lingering in certain areas but at least it’s not as painful as it was and seems to be improving... at least I hope so. I’m definitely having mixed emotions. The crying episodes have gotten better.... I haven’t told my husband yet though. Yes I said my husband. I’ve been unfaithful and now this !!!! I’m not sure how or when to tell him. We’re not having sex right now in fact I’ve contemplated divorce before this happened . Question? Will we always have to use a condim now or only at the start of an outbreak? I have so many questions I don’t know where to begin.
