Hello! I am also sorry you’re dealing with this. It is rough, but WILL get better. Just do whatever is necessary now to take care of it. I know money/insurance can complicate things but if there’s any way you can take care of it and handle the financial aspect later on then do it! Try to prioritize your day to day life and minimize the misery that you’re going through over money. I had to do that after being afraid to visit doctor because of costs, but I was able to take care of that just fine afterwards. I’ve only used prescribed valtrex to take care of it personally. I was once prescribed lidocaine, which is a numbing agent. You can find some numbing creams in stores, (I think some are prescription strength?) and they help a bit. But I would really suggest getting the prescribed med. I was hesitant to discus with friends, but in time you will. The beginning is always rough and lonely for everyone I think
