I found out last week I have genital herpes, and yesterday got told by my doctor that it’s hsv1. He made out that this was a better outcome and from reading some posts on here other people are saying similar. However I’m really uncertain what the difference is, at the end of the day they’re both genital herpes? Can someone please educate me on what the differences are in terms of transmission, outbreaks and anything else! Also because I have Hsv1 does that mean I’ll get cold sores? Or has it just been infected genitally. Any information would be so appreciated!
