  1. he could be right about the stress triggering the virus in you. that is what happened for me. 2 jobs with lack of sleep was just to much for my body. But. you guys should understand that its possible that either of you had it. why play the blame game now? does that change your diagnosis? does that benefit you? time to semi de-stress about it. do you guys love each other? are you willing to make it work without the blame. love and support, not negative energy.
  2. Have him get tested as soon as possible! you never know till you get tested.
  3. I just shaved after my ob ended a week ago. i noticed the area where i had the majority of the OB is just slightly pinker than the side that wasn't to extreme. does this just mean that my skin is tender or still healing? im still itchy but even in areas that i didn't have an ob, (i am assuming due to the virus being so fresh and new) and so im hoping i didn't just make myself have another ob. it feels normal now, but im so new at this... lol Can you shave on the regular and not get an ob? i have type 1 if that means anything at all.
  4. @mr_hopp Im feeling okay about everything. I understand that so many people have it. The only thing that sucks the the level of pain with an outbreak, but I've only had one and at the end of it. It was only really bad when I didn't know what it was or how to treat it. But at the peak of it I bought some cream, some pain relief spray, and figured out really quickly how to cope. Im hoping since I have a strong immune system and my first ob wasn't nearly as bad or long as I've heard others is (at the end of it-no more discharge, spots are starting to lightly bleed then scab over- have like two spots that im sure will be scabbed over tomorrow.) That I don't have often or painful obs after this. Im hopeful. My partner also thinks I won't have too often of obs either. Im thinking I've had it for years and just never know. What can you do? 🤷🤷 In a way it's been an awaking period. Im learning to care and love myself again, and it's been a long time since I've felt that. My hygiene is the best it's ever been. (Not that I was filthy before) and I just have a general feeling of well being even with my sores happening. Sorry for the rant. Thanks for the lovely advice 😊
  5. If you don't have sores in your mouth I wouldn't worry about it. I still give my 4 year old kisses! He cuddles on the bed with me just like before. Just like you I make sure the bathroom and my hands are clean. Give your girl some cuddles and love. Buy a special cup or water bottle for her if you are that worried and tell her she has her own special cup now! Don't let this run your life. You are still the amazing momma you were before.
  6. Im recently diagnosed, and have discussed with my boyfriend that im not going to be using any medicine and to be as natural and carefree (while being careful) as I was before. He does that mind that I have it and has been so supportive. He is getting tested as im sure after a year of us being together he has contacted it. I know you can still have kids and such, but when going to the obgyn during your pregnancy do they treat you differently? I know that in the last trimester I would have to take pills to help reduce chance of outbreak, but other than that is there a reason I would feel different, or out of place? Thanks for the help! Just want to hear the light at the end of the rainbow so to speak.
  7. I had them during the end of my peak of my outbreak. They absolutely suck! So painful. I only got them in my vaginal area. To me they feel like a super painful orgasm.
  8. My first out break happened a week ago. It hurt badly to pee when it hits my sores (hsv1) I would kinda sit on the edge of the toilet and angle my body so the pee flushed down as much as possible without hitting my site and that kinda helped! Also a spray bottle while peeing really helped. It broke down the urine so it didn't burn quite as much. Also I've been using otc vagicain, and a pain relief spray. The cream helped the pain so much! Almost make it feel like im not hurting at all. The spray helps when you have crazy pain after urinating. I hope this helps you! Lots of love 💗💗
