  1. Hello all!!! Been a while since I have been here, but I thought, who better to throw this question at than the peeps that deal with the same shenanigans I do. So it goes like this,. My Dr won't prescribe me daily suppressive therapy for H. She fills my Rx at 15 tablets to be started when ever I feel an out real coming. Which isn't often, but still, shouldn't I have the choice to be on daily meds? Also, she recommends that I take 5000 mg of L-Lysene a day. I do this because I know it is used in cats for feline herpes, so it makes sense. If I ask my Dr for a daily suppressive therapy, shouldn't that be an option? Rather than "You can have a 5 day supply when you actually have an outbreak" Anyone else have this issue? Thanks for your time
  2. @Younggun21 Hi😁 Did your Dr. Put you on any anti-virals yet? Ok so the anti inflammatory will help as you can tell, in moderation. I'm a wee bit jelly your Dr gave you extra pain control... My Dr didn't give me shit!! Lol!!! But Epsom salt baths helped me a lot. And putting an ice pack down there couple times a day. I work 14+ hour days as a vet tech and I don't get breaks or to not be moving bending or crawling on the floor with a 150# mastiff. So you saying you are a student... Going, moving, being active, and I'm sorry... But sometimes the sitting for me was worse. I also cleaned with tea tree soap twice daily... And used a hair drier to dry off when I could... Mostly after my bath and shower. L-Lysine supplement, 1k mg twice a day Vitamin C 1k mg twice daily Couple capsules of echinacia And because it put my brain in a fog Some ginkgo biloba. Hope that helps😊
  3. Hey girl heeeeeeyyyyy 😁😁😁 any time!!!
  4. @Chillydaffodil OMG girl you are so me!!! I was freaking the fuck out!!! I'll tell you... Epsome salt baths are great! Add like 10 drops of tea tree oil yes girl! The bath relaxes you and it soothes the musnt-touch-it zone. I'm new to all this to and the help here has been amazing. I have spent countless nights not sleeping and just reading into all things H... My heart it broken and I'm freaked out but I'm alive. My vagina is just starting to get back to normal after my first OB... I have been taking: 3000mg L-Lysine 2000mg vitamin C Echinacia... I think 600-1000 daily Soaking in epsome salt baths Hair drier drying the goods And trying to stay positive... Well... Obviously🙄 We can make each other laugh if you need some support😁
  5. Hi all, Guess this is how it starts. I was diagnosed a month or so ago with HSV-2. I have so many questions and everything has a different answer. I'm trying to keep my facts in order here peeps!! How about I start with my WTF is that on my vagina moment... 3-6 days after sleeping with my current partner, I developed the itching and the soreness. I had a change of brith control, and it had some similar side effects and I was schedule to see my Obgyn soon anyhow. Couple days later the lessons started, and woke me from a dead sleep. Went to the OB, got checked... Visual diagnosis of herpes. Then... She swabbed me... Man alive that girl is lucky she told me not to kick her ahead of time because that is exactly what I would have done... Holy freaking monkeys Batman!!! We talked about the possibilities of it being HSV-1 And that I could have had that for years. We also talked about how tired I had been and how foggy my head had been. Not full blown flu but exhausted, and mush brain, and sore all over... Be cause of this she said it was likely a recent exposure because if you have the virus your body adjusts to it, and makes antibodies, even without and outbreak. But with a first exposure and a first out break your body is having to fight a new enemy. So it has to work a lot harder. Is there any truth to this...??? Because... I asked my partner if he had ever been exposed (talk about a hard subject to breech)or had an outbreak and he said he hadn't. He ended up talking to his own Dr who told him that I could have had it for years and never had signs or symptoms. Which, not to say he isnt telling the truth, but what is more likely true... Both!? Just feeling a bit lost and may have lost my partner. I left the ball in his court... But seeing as stress, depression, and chocolate cause outbreaks... I guess I'm just thankful to still be healing. One day at a time...
