  2. Hello. I am a F. 25 and was diagnosed with HSV1 genital in Oct 2014 via swab test. I get tested twice a year and since then I have gotten positive and negative HSV1 antibodies test results. My most recent results of May this year was positive for HSV1 with a viral load of 1.92 and my test this August HSV1 came out negative (<.091) Does this happen to anyone else out of curiosity? If so would you happen to know why? My doctors are kind of clueless of to why my results fluctuate this way? Attached are the specific tests, the 2 negative results attachments are from August and the 1 positive results are from May. Thank you in advance.
  3. Hello all. Just turned 26. F. Northern NJ. diagnosed with GHSV-1 four years ago. I have yet look for support, so i am finally felt like I am emotionally ready to seek support. @RaymondPlacido I current feeling leg pain as well, with no visble outbreak. It is right below my left knee, I have extreme hypersensitivity to clothes or when the sheets on my bed touch it. I was thinking its some type of neuropathy but wanted to see if my H could be causing it which lead me to your post. This pain described is what is called allodynia. I'm not a medical professional, but I am studying to be an occupational therapist and I learned about this term when learning about fibromyalgia. I am waiting to see the doctor just in case this pain will subside on its own, how are you feeling? Has this pain gone away? I'm hoping its the H causing it if so I can see this as a symptom that come and go, if not I would need to find out what is causing it. Thank you all, I'm thankful for this community.

  5. @Ms. Congeniality I am currently experiencing the same pins and needle pain right below my left knee. I was curious to see if others with H are experiencing as I was thinking I may have developed neuropathy or fibromyalgia. I am currently on suppressive therapy taking Valtrex twice a day and I have yet to feel like this pain has subsided. Maybe in due time it will since it has slowly faded for you. Thanks for your insight. If I don't see any improvements s in a week I will go visit my GP just to make sure it isn't something else.
