  1. Hi there, the thigh pain is your nerves being angry. HSV 2 hides in your nerves at the base of your spine, and outbreaks happen when it activates and travel down your nerves to the ends to stir up trouble. I'm sorry you're having so much pain, my first one is really bad too 😞 It can also make you feel weak and give you flu symptoms. Try to take it easy, stay hydrated, and get on the antivirals!!!
  2. West FL and upstate NY areas, college student. Hello friends!!! I'm super new here, both in the forum and world of having HSV-2. I got it from a friend who didn't know he had it. I've had extremely severe symptoms this first outbreak and was recently hospitalized for meningitis; the virus got into my spinal and cerebral fluid. Now I'm feeling much better, but I'm still a bit scared. I would love to talk to someone who has had severe symptoms and learn from them/commiserate 🙂 If you don't have those bad symptoms, reach out anyway! I'd love to give/receive support to and from anyone. Though someone with experience could be very helpful...
