  1. I have both and it affected me in the same areas you mentioned.
  2. I'm not sure because my ex girlfriend (who did not have HSV before dating me) caught HSV from me. The skin between my lip and nose keeps reacting strange after I shave that area. I recently had very red and sore skin next to my mouth, and a sore on at the entrance to my butt that I think was brought on by drinking coffee. I didn't have a chance to get anything swabbed.
  3. I appreciate the response, but I don't believe all of these things would come on coincidentally after I had sex. Since the last time I posted, I learned I infected a previous partner with HSV. I started seeing a different girl who already had oral HSV and we had unrprotected oral and vaginal sex multiple times. With each time we had sex, the redness of the head of my penis got worse and the skin became extremely sensitive. I then started getting a burning in my urethra and my bladder never feels empty. It's been like this for almost 3 months. I don't have a bladder infection, either... I tested positive twice in one month for HSV1, but then started testing negative again, and my Western Blot was negative. None of my doctors can explain that. I can assure you, stress is NOT doing any of this to me. Stress never made my body react this way for decades.
  4. It's strange timing that you wrote this because today I just found on I'm negative on the Western Blot. Were your bumps sores or just bumps? Did any of the guys you were with ever test positive for HSV? I still have the pain in my urethra and urge to pee. Lucky me, my Urologist and their entire office is gone during December.
  5. Update: After twice testing positive for HSV in April, I tested negative this month. Also, I've started to have sex for the first time since all of this happened. My glans have been red since April 2018 (the last time I had sex), but now they are becoming extremely red and sensitive to touch after having sex now. There is also a constant tingle in my urethra and the feeling of having to pee after sex. This lasts for 2-3 days. My glans have not responded to a myriad of creams, and Dermatologists and Urologists have all but given up on me.
  6. Any chance you have a photo of this? It sounds similar to what's happening to me.
  7. I've not had sex since my proper diagnosis in March, but back when I thought I had HSV (but not testing positive) sex would bring out a ton of redness on my thighs and above my penis. This would be accompanied by rashes that itched. My scrotum also itched and turned red.
  8. They tested negative through blood and swab as of last year, but we no longer speaker, so I don't know of her current status. Things didn't start happening because I thought really hard about it; they happened 2 days after sex. The flu-like symptoms and mouth symptoms didn't start until 4 month later after I was exposed to sunlight for hours ( a known trigger for HSV) My eye doctor sees damage similar to ocular herpes, but doesn't see the strand in my eye. Neither of the 2 ophthalmologists would take swabs of my eye. In tears of redness, the head of my penis has turned red, and some skin near it has done the same. I also now have little circular red dots that show up on my thighs if I masterbate. I saw a neurologist and the test were negative, but this was also when I found out I had HSV1 via blood test. He told me has seen patients with HSV who get the tingling in the head, brain fog, and confusion just like I do.
  9. Anti virals help with the headaches and dry eye. It hasn't helped the other symptoms -- burning, itching, skin changing colors, nerve tingling.
  10. If you were infected with oral HSV as an adult, do you find yourself getting frequent headaches or brain fog/confusion?
  11. I didn't test positive for HSV1 until 11 months later.
  12. I have all of these same symptoms minus the butt issues. I tested negative for 11 months until two IGG test taken in one month turned positive for HSV1
  13. How long does your pain last if you don't take the meds?
  14. I have not tried that. I also have not done the Western Blot. The rheumatologist I saw told me that it's definitely possible that HSV could not be detected in my blood since it doesn't live there.
  15. Do your sores swab negative? I don't get the typical sores on the genitals, but I get sore-like acne on my face and back.
  16. I get the same run around. Some doctors tell me to go on living normally. I am almost to the point of seeing if I infect somebody else through sex.
  17. Which of these apply to you? Why do you think you have herpes?
  18. I am in the exact same situation! The only difference is I have met some specialists that admit I probably do have HSV.
  19. I called the office to ask about my results, and I was told the lab tested for 1 and 2. Results are negative, but herpes-like symptoms still prevail . . .
  20. I've been told similar things - stress, it's in my head, it's general irritation. I have itching in the genitals and anus on a daily basis, but no cremes or diagnosis has helped. I've started to get really painful acne on my face that all come on in a large mass and show up in the same specific areas. Popping them leads to weeks of healing, and then a small scar. I get acne on my back now that does not feel or heal like anything I've had prior to having unprotected oral and vaginal sex.
  21. For some, this is not just a skin condition. Some people have daily pain from HSV or multiple outbreaks a month/year. Not everyone's body reacts the same to HSV. I don't think this is worth having.
  22. I have this same problem on my upper lip. I had the flu in September and soon after had a lot of burning and tingling, and then developed a bunch of tiny white bumps. To this day, only my upper lip stays continually chapped and cut. Nothing helps. No positive test results, though.
