I've had genital and rectal burning and itching for almost a year. Tests still come back negative through blood and swab.

I forgot to add that my skin on my penis and mouth cuts itself open in the same spots multiple times in a year. I also get sores in my nose on a rate that I've never experienced before.

Symptoms are: constant redness, itching on genitals, groin and head of penis. Painful zits on inner thighs. Tingling urethrea with urge to urinate. Tingling nerves in butt, hands, arm, feet. Sore rectum with no obvious signs of problems. Randomly occurring rashes and red bumps in groin area. Burning upper lip, frequent sores in mouth, burning eyes, headaches, tingling in head, a frequent onslaught of extremely painful zits on neck and forehead. Loss or hearing and fullness in right ear. A girl I dated also caught the itching, dry eyes. Some doctors will tell me it definitely sounds herpetic, but I do not test positive. I've seen numerous specialists and taken a lot of tests that have yielded nothing.

This is me, too! The mild lip burning cannot be explained by any Dermatologist or solved with any medication. Does your lip burn if you eat certain foods?

The title says it all. I was swabbed for HSV 2 only on my genitals because the doctor told me it's not possible to have HSV 1show up on the genitals. My swab came back negative, but the doctor only tested for HSV 2. Is it possible I could have still have HSV 1, but not know it thanks to the doctor only swabbing for HSV 2?

I am suffering from the scalloped tongue, too. There has been a white film on my tongue for a few weeks now. The other mouth symptoms I get are long lasting sores on my gums, bleeding in the mouth, dry/cut upper lip. I had the flu back in September and a tingling started happening on my upper lip and a ton of very small white bumps shows up on just my upper lip. That is when the cuts/chapped lip started and no medicine has been able to cure it. The girl I was seeing back then also had the flu and developed the tingling/white bumps on lips. No doctor has been able to explain why this happened. Foods that are salty, acidic or high in wheat are setting off the pain on my lips and the swelling on the sides of my tongue.

This doesn't explain how the girl I was dating had similar symptoms to me.

The tongue tingling happens to me! I had unprotected vaginal and oral sex, and now I have horrible symptoms all over my body that no doctor can figure out.

Can you describe what issues the tinnitus cased you?

Does anything set off the gurgle noise in your ears? I've had this for months and ENT doctors cannot find anything wrong with me. I also experience many other HSV symptoms, but cannot tests positive.

Yes! I've yet to receive a positive, but several specialists have not been able to solve this. I've had a few doctors tell me that I could very well have HSV and it's not being detected by the tests. Did the cluster on your neck look like the images you'd see on Google images when you search "neck herpes"?

What did you have swabbed? Was it a lesion? I keep testing negative through blood, but I never have anything to swab.

Explain my penis cutting itself open in the same spots. Explain my top lips developing white bumps after burning and tingling for a week. Also explain why my top lip is cut open every day. Explain the chronic dry eye. Even my eye doctor said I have a lesion on my eye similar to that of herpes. Also explain the never tingling and burning. The red spots on my thighs that itch every day. Explain the sores on my gums. Sugar triggering headaches and brain fog. Tingling it buttocks. Waves of painful zits that takes weeks to heal. These are all symptoms of HSV.

I've started taking Valtrex, and it's helping with the daily headaches, but it has not relieved much else. My Dermatologist tired to use a cream to solve my constant chapped, cut upper lip. Once I told her it wasn't working, she upped my dosage of Valtrex. I asked her if the prescription of Valtex means she thought I had HSV, and her response was "Tough question... I don't know that I can say that with any certainty. "

Same thing happens to skin on my penis! The classic doctor's reply is "I don't see anything." How were you diagnosed? I'm having a hard time getting a diagnosis.

Don't promise this to those who suffer daily with HSV.
