  1. I didn’t have outbreaks during either of my pregnancy, didn’t take antivirals, and delivered both vaginally. Everyone is different though of course. I contracted H at age 16 and had my children about 15+ years later though. Good luck to you!
  2. Shingles is usually multiple sores running along a specific nerve line and staying all on one side of the body. You would not specifically test positive for hsv1 with shingles.
  3. I had headaches from it too. I would take it closer to bed time and it helps. I have had HSV 2 for 32 years and for the first 25 I didn’t take anything for suppression, though I rarely ever got a sore. I passed the virus on to only one partner that I am aware of, successfully was in a marriage and had two kids without any transmission issues.
  4. IgM is for recent infection.
