When u say tough out the outbreaks? U mean don’t take antivirals at all? Or can u take them while your outbreaks and then stop?I think I’m gna come off the antivirals i can’t deal with getting alopecia. I’m trying to use some other homeopathic approaches. Thank u very much for responses.

Hey everyone! I was listening to a podcast on Life with Herpes and there was a lady on there talking about how she takes this stuff and it has helped her for having to take meds and having outbreaks.. I’m trying so hard to try to find a homeopathic route these antivirals are killing me. I constantly dehydrated and headaches and hair loss. Anyways anyone ever hear of using this?? I hear it has a bunch of other uses.. any feedback would be appreciated.

I getting headaches and hair loss.. I feel crappy in them. I’m scared of getting an outbreak. I’m not having sex and no longer have a partner and don’t plan on having one. I just want feel normal and healthy again. 😢

I guess there was a sore inside me.. and PcR came back as hsv1 detected is what my lab results said. Hsv2 not detected. This was a swab test. After sex I had blood.. I now realized it was my ex where he torn of the scab from having sex on how I got infected. I felt like I had pressure inside me like UTI.. then went to doctor, when she did the test .. less then a week later I had sores and it took 3.5 weeks to heal. My other symptoms were flu symptoms they came out before the sores.. then the sores. I hate this so much it helps to talk about it much I hate myself for believing in someone that could do this to me and then threw me away like trash. I already had a hard time with dating and now this.. I’m doomed to be alone forever.

I found out I got Ghsv1 because I wasn’t feeling right after having sex with my ex.. I thought I had a UTI at first.. I got symptoms of that.. went to the doctor and I told her I got back with my ex an she said she was doing std check which I was fine with since I recently got back with him. 2 days later my PcR test came detected for hsv1 .. I still didn’t know it was gential.. then doctor called me a few days later told me that it was I then got my medication and my life changing journey started. I got sores within days.. I had my primary outbreak for over 3 and half weeks. I’m now in over 3 months and still struggling every day. They say it gets easier.. idk, I’m in therapy and I’m struggling with depression this has turned my life upside down.. somedays I wish I wasn’t here to have to deal with the daily struggle of this horrible virus. I just keep hoping it will get better.

Glad to hear you would accepted her with virus.. it’s fear for a lot of us not knowing if someone will accept us because of this. It’s sad she waited until u guys were intimate verses given you the chance to understand it and then moving forward as a couple. I hope all works out for you guys.

I know but I feel so emotional and your right I got get better with the diet. What kind of diet u go on? Plus I gotta quit crying so much I know that makes it come back. I’m 45 and it seems to have effected my nerves a bit.. I still deal with nerve pain.

Yes I am a female and I currently don’t have anyone I’m with sexually so I have been looking at the holistic approach.. using oil of oregano and collide sliver to help .. I heard it works good, still trying to do some more research on it. This all I do most all day is trying to find ways to deal with this horrible virus 🤦‍♀️

@MarieH Are u taking antivirals? I’m trying to see who all is taking them that has Ghsv1 since it supposed to milder and most ppl with ohsv1 don’t even take a suppressive just curious why we should be on them if it supposed to me milder. I’m trying find information but no luck.

I just gotten back my ex he had a sore that I didn’t notice and I was stressed on trying to make our relationship work again as he has put me through so much hell but stupid me wanted try to give him another chance.. drop 6 weeks later and knew he had never told me before we had sex .. I’m just so pissed off about it. If only I could turn back time

Crazy that someone that is a specialist in the field never seen one case of it and it’s extremely rare.. only I could have such bad luck 😢

Hey everyone I’m trying to see if it’s common to be put on antivirals daily when u Ghsv1? The reason I ask is because it’s supposed to be less chronic and shouldn’t be placed on them?? I’m curious of the ppl that have Ghsv1 that stay on antivirals. I know everyone can be different just wondering. I’m having some issues with the antiviral now with dehydrated and headaches and sore throat.. so I stopped taking them to see if the supplements approach will give me what I need. I have always been pretty healthy person with working out and trying to eat right. I just hate taking this medicine.. wonder if someone else is experiencing what I am. Thank u for your time. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m taking a generic form of Valtrex 500 msg a day for 3 mths and I stopped taking it because it was causing me headaches and my skin is extremely dry it’s causing me to be really dehydrated. Plus I was getting a sore throat. I figured I would see what happens if I stopped taking it and just continue with my herbal supplements and vitamins and hopefully they will help me without taking any medication

I think it’s 2 to 20 days for it to show up. It may be to soon for the blood test since it sound like your first primary outbreak. Usually the swab is more accurate.

I seen her Terri Warren post about that. I’m actually someone that got hsv1 gential to gential. I was surprised.

I went in for only 6 mins and it didn’t bother me. I had to try it was bugging me.

The crazy thing is we give ourselves such a hard time before evening knowing if it’s someone we truly want in our life. Just because we have H don’t makes us unworthy of love. Also there are ton of ppl that have H and don’t even know it. I totally understand what your saying but we have really sit back and think about this, as long as we are honest about what we have because everyone deserves that .. and only to someone that u think could possibly lead into more. I’m not telling someone on my first date and probably not my second or third when I feel I’m ready to tell them and obviously before any sexual contact. Just give yourself more worth you deserve that. Your still the beautiful same person as before just have this to deal with.

Sounds like a new exposure. Which one do you have? Normally it’s come out within so many days after being exposed.

Ok.. just wondering to see if I want to continue wit my suppressive therapy. I have Ghsv1 .. just wondering if the side effects are causing me to feel crappy now being on a t since August 1st.

I thought only happened during your primary outbreak, after that it’s my understanding that the outbreaks only come back to the primary location and don’t spread to different locations. Is that when yours spread?
