I really just wanna know it uncontrollable itching normal for a second OB. That’s the main thing. It’s becoming soooo uncomfortable

You first initial OB will make you feel like crap. I cried and cried. I felt like my life was over. Honestly, I still kinda do. You have to think about it this way.... 8/10 people have hsv1 wether it be a cold sore or in the genital area. Reguardless of where it’s at, it’s the SAME virus. As as far as OB, everyone is different. I was told by my doctor that ghsv1 doesn’t like to go below the belt line so the chances of reoccurring OBs are rare. In my case, that’s false. I’m currently going through my 2nd OB right now. Given, I was just sick, stressed and I’m on my cycle, they all factor into having OBs. Your diet also factors into it. You could have one, and never have another one or you can have reoccurring ones. I’ve done research alllll day long today bc having a second OB effects you mentally just like the first. I feel very unloved of myself. I feel terrible but over time, it’ll get better. As for telling friends and family, I have yet to do so as well because nobody understands that ghsv1 is the SAME thing as a cold sore on your lip. The SAME virus. Nobody gets that until they do research. Keep your head up girl.

Has anyone ever experienced more than one breakout of HSV1 in the genital area in one year?? I’m having a second outbreak and it’s kinda scaring me. Also, should it be itching severely bad?!

I had sores in side of my mouth as well last week after oral sex but they were ulcers and they were not bunched together. I did tons of research that said it’s uncommon to have a break out inside of your mouth but it is possible. I was wondering the same question though because I wanted to know too

Okay, so I was diagnosed with HSV1 in my genital area back in April if I’m not mistaken. I did not take this very well at all. I was also in excruciating pain! I couldn’t move and had severe flu like symptoms. Well I think I’m having my second outbreak. The part that worries me is that it’s very very uncomfortable... again! I was told the second out break wouldn’t be as bad if not even noticeable. which, it’s not 100% as bad but it’s still pretty rough. Also, I researched over and over and everything said that HSV1 in the genital area rarely occurs more than once a year so it scares me that I’m having a second one. When I got tested back in april, HSV2 was negative. The internet of course scares me into thinking I’ve contracted HSV2 for the simple fact that everyone says you don’t really have a second outbreak of type 1! Another question I have is can you have flu like symptoms with a second out break?? Help!!!
