  1. 30s male from Kentucky. Hsv positive for a couple of years. In need of support. Bonus if you're a parent and deal with anxiety around your kids with this. Open to m or f of any age or location.
  2. I take 500mg once daily valtrex.
  3. I have not heard of or experienced this myself. You may check with a doc just to rule out other possibilities. Do they go away? Are they painful? Just curious.
  4. I've seen both a primary care doctor and an infectious Disease doc. Both have prescribed suppressive meds mostly to put my mind at ease regarding protectimg myfamily. I've been on them for about 7 months, no adverse effects so far.
  5. I have little ones at home, I totally understand the fear
  6. @Elle27 any other problems with this spreading to other places or passing it to other ppl when the area is exposed? @Amando same question any problems passing this (esp during the prodrome stage) to other body parts or ppl? This is my biggest concern of fear of passing.g this to my kids.
  7. I'm looking for answers to your questions too. It's not been confirmed for me on my hand because the lesions healed before I could have it swabbed but the doc was leaning towards Whitlow based on the pics I showed them. My biggest concern is passing this on to my kids so I'd also love to hear from someone with experience with this.
  8. Hey everyone. I was diagnosed with ghsv2 this past spring, have had ohsv1 since childhood. I recently developed tiny blisters on my finger which the infecious disease doc was unable to rule out herpes Whitlow. I tried to get it swabbed before it healed but everywhere required an appointment first, by the time I got in the wound had healed. I'm very concerned bc I have children and don't want to pass it on to them. Has anyone else had an experience with herpes Whitlow or spreading to other parts of the body?
