  1. Bronx Montefiore the oval center is on Bainbridge
  2. I was thinking the same thing. The first bump yes it was hev2. I think the suppressive are too strong for me. Around my period it was worse the last two periods. Now this is almost a full month now without taking the suprressives and my period ended two days ago and still no outbreak or irritation
  3. I had a small dot size bump n the doctor said it was from hsv2 so I started the regular 5 day treatment n the irritation started so I said well ima do suppressive
  4. Once I started taking them I was having irritation all day, slight itching then once single bump( white filled) on the butt near the top crack-ish. It will appear and then stuff would come out then it will go away in about 2 days and it will heal but u can still see where it was so the skin didn’t heal. Then it would show back up like every 4 days. Then I ran out of the prescription and I kept forgetting to pick it up so about day 4/5 of not taking it I noticed less itchy feeling and the skin where the bump kept appearing the skin fully healed and it hasn’t come back. So I have the new prescription but I’m thinking about just not taking it and just see what my body does. I have been taking the valacyclovir since April 22. And been having those symptoms non stop. Since stopping I almost feel normal. So I’m like it’s it my body just getting use to it or does my body not like the suppressives... I nevee had any noticeable symptoms of hsv before the suppressive medication
  5. I’ve noticed since suppressive medicine 1g valacyclovir(valtrex) daily I now notice symptoms all the time. I stopped taking it about 10days ago and now I no longer notice symptoms the irritation n noticeable symptoms are better. so my question is has anyone notice that they do better when not taking suppressive medication??! i have HSV2 and HSV1 diagnosed in April but most likely had it for months and not have known. Found out during random. Blood test
  6. Thanks that’s what I figured. I haven’t had any signs or symptoms until I was actually diagnosed same week started suppressive Valacyclovir. I have had the infection at least 6months so now symptoms are just popping up.
  7. Since I’ve been diagnosed about 6weeks ago. Was in my system at least six months(never had any symptoms). A week after diagnosis I got one small bump no pain or anything( honestly didn’t even notice it). After speaking with a doctor I decided suppressive med Valacyclovir 1000mg daily. I’ve noticed now I been starting to get a bump or slight irritation here n there nothing that really bothers me. Could this be my body getting use to the medication? Has this happened to anyone else???
  8. I have no clue the doctors don’t even know they just said it means it’s not a new infection
  9. Thank you. Yes I’m starting to think I have had it for a long period of time and now it’s startjng to show up. Surgery I had a year ago it’s still causing my body to be out of wack. Stress now definitely . Dental work yup the week before this started. So I have experienced literally everything that can cause this to trigger. I haven’t had any sexual relations in About 6 months so I’m pretty sure I’ve had this at least since then we talked and I decided to do suppressive treatment and that’s 1000mg a day also. I noticed the irritation has been sudsiding( 3 weeks total since I’ve been in it and since I’ve been diagnosed). The doctor tor gave me Valacyclovir 1000mg for the irritation. N then
  10. I was diagnosed with hsv 1&2 about three weeks ago. I never had a outbreak or any symptoms. I decided to get a full screening for everything. I tested positive for it. Now I wasn’t sexually active for over 6 months so basically there is no clue how long I’ve had this with no symptoms. The day after I found out I had my period and I had slight irritation thinking maybe it was just that time of the month. Got it swabbed and it tested positive for hsv2 so I was having a outbreak. No pain nothing. I was given Valtrex. Now reading the forum I decided to Conroe suppressive medication to remain outbreak free. Now since I’ve been taking Valtrex well (Valacyclovir) everyday I notice lots of irritation and now one little pimple size bump continue to pop up at the crack of the butt-!”no pain) itching (vaginal- no bumps or anything), and leg pain( never had any of these symptoms before the medication)Could this just be my body getting use to the medication? sorry for the TMI
  11. I have the same fear. I was diagnosed with hsv2 about 3 weeks ago and I have been so out of it since then. The first week I was so many emotions then the second week I felt better. Then one little pimple looking bump shower up. Then all down hill from there. I’m a black Woman and it’s sad to say I honestly feel that the black community won’t accept it either. I personally have made a bad joke about herpes also not knowing it would one day affect me. I honestly don’t know how long I’ve had it or who I got it from. A lot of our community makes bad jokes and look at this as it’s similar to hiv even though it’s not. A lot of our community always say very negative things about hsv not knowing anything. I honest can’t imagine telling someone that I have this. I don’t have children and I’m only in my 32. But I feel I would much rather just be alone and not have children or another relationship than to disclose this to anyone. I have only told my mother and she made me feel so much better it was like I was suffering in silence u til I disclosed to her. She thinks it’s no big deal but to me it feels like the end of the world and no one will accept this. I can’t even accept it
  12. Thank you. I guess this makes sense. I have no idea how long I have had this. Nits been two weeks since I found out and the doctors make it seem like no big deal. Into me I have no symptoms but the mental shock it’s wats hard. I lost sooo much weight so my body is going heywire. They said I could have had it for years and not know so of course it drives you crazy thinking of how you got it. Knowing you will never know it’s more torture. If I knew it will make it more easy to digest.
  13. Okay. So I had gastric sleeve (weight loss surgery) last year lost over 120lbs. So I’m still in the process of losing weight, maintaining vitamin levels and getting my system/ body back to normal. So I’ve experienced mainly changes in my body( eating, energy, hair loss, hair growth, trying to eat more- all types of things). Now fast forward I was diagnosed with hsv2 last week. Does having the gastric surgery effect the HSV ob? They said it’s been in my blood for some time now and maybe the surgery and body changes trigger it to become known. I thought I had a yeast infection and the blood test turned out to be hsv 1 and 2. IgG level hsv1 3... and hsv2 8.... I have never had a known outbreak.
