I was diagnosed With HSV1 about a week ago with an iGg type specific ab test. I had what I suspected was a groin rash that was a little sore to the touch (no painful blisters, at least not noticeable) and symptoms associated with a different STI for a few weeks prior to having a full sti screening done and it came back positive for HSV1 antibodies. The individual that I suspect I got it from (probably has no idea they have it) also gave me a peck on the lips. If I haven’t had any lesions or “cold sores” surface how do I know for sure where I’m infected? If I’ve got both how do I keep a future partner safe? I’m looking for some type of guidance, support, or information because there isn’t much in the google-sphere about HSV1 in the nether regions.
