  1. Following as I'm having constant outbreaks and post herpetic neuralgia.
  2. I'm in back to back h2 outbreaks, I went back on acyclovir as the valacyclovir wasn't working. Lol neither is this really but I'm going to see how it goes with a little more time. It happened after my husband passed away from Covid last year. But my gyne also put me on antidepressants with my antiviral so we'll see how that works.
  3. This is absolutely herpes related. I have the muscle twitching and didn't have it until after my diagnosis 11 years ago. I went many years with a mild outbreak maybe once a year and no twitching. Now I'm having frequent outbreaks, twitching, and my lymph nodes are swollen on one side of my groin. Same issues as when I was first diagnosed. But I'm on suppressive therapy now and just hoping it will start working.
  4. Sorry to hear you're going through this. I would think you're immune system is low due to the antibiotics you're on. However, I'm on valacyclovir and still struggling with prodromes so I'm not sure. I'm trying to not focus on it too much to keep stress down.
  5. I need to try something else to get rid of this chronic pain. I've had this for 10 years and went years where I was not achy anymore. Now I've been having this annoying pain for 3 months. I switched to valacyclovir and was fine for 5 days and now the pain is back again. No outbreak. My husband passed away, I am taking care of my kids all alone and when I have this pain I just want to crawl up in bed which I can't do with young kids.
  6. I'm experiencing this as well. I feel I manage stress well but I've been on a constant outbreak for the last month and a half. I've had this virus for 10 years and I feel like I'm back in year one. My doc is going to put me on the generic for valtrex so I'm hoping that my body will respond to that. I was able to not take anything and just take acyclovir I felt something coming on. I'm so frustrated and just want this to go back in remission.
  7. Hi I've had this for 10 years now. I was married but after losing my husband I'm back in the dating game. I was able to have children the natural way with no issues but now that I'm back in the dating game having to disclose is stressful. Plus after not having too many outbreaks now I'm dealing with the leg pain and that tingling feeling when I'm sitting down. I normally only take acyclovir when having an outbreak but it's been month long pain and so I started back on 400mg twice a day. I'm wondering if I should switch to something else for suppression. I don't let this bother me mentally but when I am having prodromes it gets me depressed all over again. Anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the dull aches?
