  1. I am terrified of flying planes. I recently got hired for a seasonal (5-6 month) job in a remote location. The guy sitting next me offered his hand and gave me support during the entire flight.
Upon landing we were all required to quarantine for 14 days.  During that time this guy was texting me non stop. Telling me I was beautiful. It’s fate. (Overdoing it in my opinion). He was aggressively pursuing me through text.

Day 9- I disclosed to him of my HSV status and he stops texting me. Mind you, I still have to see and work this guy for the next 6 months or so. I’m afraid he will tell other people. And it hurt that he just stopped texting me. This is the 1st rejection I have had after disclosing.

  2. I told my sister about my HSV status and she didn’t reply. I regret even telling her. She is a judgmental pastor and I believe I got HSV from being a raped months ago. At the same time, I’m like, “Oh well, it is what is.” I don’t think she would put me on blast or tell anyone else that I have herpes. & I joined plenty of fish for hookups. I tell each of my partners about my status before sex. Most men don’t care honestly. Sigh! I just regret that I told my Sister. But I can’t change it or take back the texts. I was hoping for a compassionate response. But I didn’t get that. Just no response.

  3. 3 weeks after being diagnosed. I had my many many sores heal in my Vaginal/ anal area about a week after they popped up. Now it’s the horrible burning, tingling and shoots of pain. No sore are visible. I’ve had these symptoms for 2 weeks. My doctor prescribed me Gabapentin today. I’ll see if this helps.

My doctor said that I am experiencing very rare effects from HSV 2.

On a side note, I have experienced an ease of these symptoms (for a few hours) using THC edibles but, that is costly and my pathetic income can’t afford to buy them everyday.

  4. I was diagnosed 15 days ago. My lesions are healing but it’s the itching, tingling and stabbing nerve pain that is really nagging for 2 days. I’m taking valtrex and L-lysine. This nagging sensation is keeping me awake at night. I don’t know what to do. It won’t stop. My doctor only will provide meds at the beginning of the OB. I can’t live like this. Does anyone have suggestions?
