  1. Oh gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still struggling with some strange symptoms but I don't think they are HSV related anymore. I got an IGG at 14 weeks which was negative for both HSV 1 & 2. I think I might have some rare bacterial infection or something. I'm probably gonna try some antibiotics soon here to see if it helps clear up these symptoms. Super strange, they have literally been on going since the end of August...
  2. Hey @Ellemina I think that I'm inthe same boat as you. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I'm pretty sure that I've caught HSV2 both orally and genitally. 😞 I feel like it is the worst possible combination to have... I've been having continuous outbreaks since late August when I was infected. If you want a friend to chat with please let me know.
  3. Hey folks, I've been doing quite a bit of research into natural antiviral remedies for treating HSV infection. I've come across a couple of natural remedies that are actually backed up by scientific evidence to have antiviral properties. Some of these include: -Turkey tail mushrooms https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25358999/ -Red marine algae https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11098839/ -Olive Leaf extract https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33541815 Please list any others that you have come across. Let's compile a list of scientifically backed antiviral remedies against HSV.
  4. @Tryingmybest hey, thanks for your concern. They tested for HSV through a swap test. They swabbed a couple of the ulcers in my mouth, but I'm worries that they were too healed before they actually took the tests. The blood and urine were for all the other commonly tested for STIs (HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia). The refuse to do the blood test for HSV in the UK.
  5. @brambrook Hello, I've been experiencing the same sort of symptoms. If you ever want to chat about things I'm completely open. I don't have a diagnosis yet, but I'm pretty sure that I've also contracted HSV. I have been experiencing extreme genital discomfort and urethral pain. It's been completely unbearable at times. I've been trying to do everything I can to boost my immune system to fight this infection. But the pain and discomfort is plunging me into despair. 😞
  6. @Flowerteacher55 Hey Grace, I'm doing alright. It's been quite the struggle with the pain that I have been going through.
  7. @Sumshine It is super strange for sure. I did give this woman oral sex though, and I did have a little canker sore in my mouth at the time... which really wasn't smart. But no, the doctors have not given me any other explanation as to what it could be. They don't think that I have herpes, but I've had consistent symptoms for about two and a half months now... it's really distressing. The most painful part has been the tip of my penis and my urethra actually. Those areas have been EXTREMELY painful... 😞
  8. Any suggestions from folks would be much appreciated. I'm really struggling. 😞😭
  9. @My thoughts I've tried to get tested multiple times. The doctors at the sexual health clinic here in the UK have swabbed a couple of ulcers in my mouth, but by the time I booked an appointment with them during the pandemic, they have healed to the point where the tests have come up negative both times. They do not do blood analysis. The sexual health clinic is now refusing to do further tests on me because of these two negative tests. In my genital region have not had any sores emerge, but the end of my penis has been red, inflammed, and sore for almost two months and I have also had a TON of pain in my urethra. I feel like I'm living in a nightmare. Not sure how I'm going to carry on. 😞
  10. @My thoughts I think that I may have contracted HSV2 orally and genitally, the not so nice version... 😞 what are the transmission rates of HSV2 orally to orally? Also, would I be very easy to transmit it orally to genitally since that is the area that it prefers?
  11. @Confused12 @PositiveHerbivore @Bambina3 @HikingGirl @DonnaItaliana @JeffH @MMissouri @nolongerperfect @surfsup @Sunshine75 @Runner_gal @seaweedlover Hey folks! About 2 and a half months ago I contracted HSV2 both orally and genitally and since then I've been having constant outbreaks and discomfort. I've been vegan for about 12 years and I really don't want to have to give up my diet, but I'm really struggling. I would really appreciate it if some other vegans who are struggling with this virus could reach out to me and provide me some support, advice and suggests that have helped them move forward. I'm in a really low place right now and I'm not sure how I'm going to carry on. 😞
  12. @Flowerteacher55 Thank you for your support, Grace. Yes, that picture is of two stages of the same sores. They started off as white/yellowish raised sores and then broke open and caused those non-white ulcer like hallow divets. I'm pretty sure they are herpes sores as well... 😞 Yes, with regards to the heart spasm and neck/cognitive issues, I did go and see a doctor. Once again they said that everything is fine. It feels like they literally only take you seriously in acute situations here, other when the damage has already been done. No such thing as preventative care in Western medicine. Thanks again for responding, Grace and I'm curious to see if there are others who have experienced a similar situation where they have caught both oral and genital HSV2. This seems like the nightmare worst case scenario.
  13. Hey folks. I'm going through a really rough time. At the end of August I had a sexual experience with a new partner. I used a condom, but I gave her oral sex and we did a bit of dry humping without a condom prior to the intercourse. A couple of days later I started feeling REALLY sick. My symptoms have included: -Burning genitals -Extreme lower abdominal pain -Low grade fever -Nausea -Heart spasm -Blisters in mouth, both whitish in colour, yellow and smaller which turn into ulcers (pictures of these attached), blood blisters in mouth -Thrush, red lips -shooting pain in legs and buttocks -testicular pain -red sores on tip of penis -soreness in the urethra and prostate And most recently: -neck pain and stiffness -sensitivity to light -cognitive issues I have also been experiencing insomnia and severe mental health issues since this infection. I've been back and forth from the GP and the sexual health clinic. They have done a series of blood and urine tests and everything has come back negative for all the STIs that they tested for. They also swabbed a couple of the sores that I had in my mouth but those tests were negative as well. I'm wondering if any other folks have experienced similar symptoms, especially the intraoral sores and the red and sore penis tip, urethra, and prostate. These have been constantly reoccuring over the past 2 and 1/2 months. It feels like I'm having a constant and continuous outbreak. If I have HSV2 both genitally and orally, this is going to be absolutely devastating. 😞 I don't know what I'm going to do. I won't even be able to kiss people without telling them that I have herps. Has anyone else experienced this??
  14. @fitgirl Hey! I'll be moving back to Canada from the UK and living in Calgary this winter. I think that I may have recently contacted HSV and I'm looking for a good doctor in the city that is understanding and compassionate around this issue. Please send me some info. Much appreciated! πŸ™
