  1. My hemorrhoids hurt so bad too during outbreak. Only thing that helped me was smoking weed. I’m typically only a social smoker, but I smoked the whole length of the outbreak because it made bowel movements bearable.
  2. I’m finally healed up from my first OB, but now my vagina is itchy and I have discharge with blood streaks in it. Not every time I wipe, but a few times today. I also wiped once and had old looking, thicker blood speckles like at the end of your period. I’ve struggled with reoccurring BV in the past and yeast infections here and there so the itch makes me think it’s one of those, but the blood doesn’t usually happen although I’ve had blood streaked discharge a few times the last couple months with no itch. How can you tell if you have sores in your vagina? With my first OB, I just had a small patch of blisters on my lips. I don’t have any other symptoms that I had with the first OB like hurting you pee. Just concerned about this itch and blood!
  3. Thank you so much, Grace! You are such a kind soul. We definitely had a conversation about the finger and he’s usually not like that. I’m not sure what made him be less gentle than usual! I’ve been taking my anti-viral for 4 days now and things are starting to heal up. All that’s left are tiny scabs and I’m still having yellow discharge. So weird because you’re right, not much online mentions yellow discharge being associated with herpes! When I originally got tested and they didn’t do an HSV screen, they did use a clear speculum to look inside and didn’t note any internal sores. I didn’t have any external blisters at that time either so maybe some developed after and that’s why I have yellow discharge. It’s so hard accepting this, but I just gotta keep reminding myself things could be worse
  4. I’m currently going through my first outbreak and it’s absolutely horrible… At first, I didn’t expect herpes at all. My boyfriend and I had anal sex on a Friday. I wasn’t sore at all Saturday. Then Sunday, he was going down on me and randomly decided to shove a finger in my ass without warming me up to it. He’s usually so slow and delicate. Idk why he decided to do that, but it hurt like a bitch! The next day, my anus HURT and my hemorrhoids (from giving birth, but typically never inflamed) were huge and it hurt so bad during bowel movements. I had diarrhea so although it hurt, it was bearable. This continued all week and got worse when my stool began to harden. At that point, I wanted to scream and cry during a bowel movement. On Wednesday, it began to ache/burn when urinating. I drink a lot of water and my pee is typically pretty clear, but it was now a deep yellow and cloudy. I also noticed what I thought was an ingrown hair in my pubes as I get those often. It was one solitaire bump and I plucked a hair from it. Thursday, I went to the doctor for suspected UTI and my hemorrhoids. They tested me for vaginal infections + STDs, but didn’t screen me for HSV. Everything came back negative so no answers for why it hurt to urinate. Discharge wise, I’ve been struggling with odd stuff a few months now. In the past, I’ve had reoccurring BV and yeast infections, but was testing negative so I figured ovulation was causing my discharge to be off. It was typically clear, thick, and stretchy like glue with the occasional tiny pink streak but never any smell. By Friday though, my discharge was starting to have yellow in it and there was way more. I went bowling on Saturday and had to wear a pad to catch the discharge. The pad didn’t look yellow or anything when I took it off though. Sunday, I woke up with my shorts wet. I’m still unsure if urine was slowly leaking out or if my discharge turned watery. There wasn’t a puddle under me, just unusually wet shorts. A few hours later, I checked on that ingrown hair spot because I felt a bump and popped it. When popping it, I felt a patch of something so I inspected it more and saw I had a cluster of blisters filled with clear liquid… I told my boyfriend I was worried and showed him. We both agreed it looked just like herpes… we have been together 6 months and he has had tiny scabs on his penis we were suspicious of in the past, but it never looked like full blown herpes. We’d use condoms on those occasions, but all other sex has been unprotected. He feels so bad and is so sorry that he possibly gave me this. He was tested for STDs before we got together, as was I, but no HSV test was ran on me and I’m not sure about his exact tests. I went to the doctor again last night (Sunday) and they swabbed my sores. She was going to do a blood test, but said since it’s my first OB that it would come back negative. I was prescribed an antiviral and am starting it today. My boyfriend is a great man and has been telling me he’s going to marry me since the night we met so I feel blessed that I have him. I can’t imagine being single and having to tell someone new I have this… my heart goes out to anyone in that situation. It’s really hard accepting that this is my reality now. We have an amazing sex life and now I’m worried it won’t be as good. Since we both probably have it, we aren’t as concerned about regular sex, but oral sex worries us bc neither of us want sores on our faces. I feel ashamed. I’m really close to my mom and she’s a nurse so I told her, but I will never tell even my closest friends. I feel yucky and am so worried I’m going to spread it by touching it. I’m only one week in and the pain, specifically during bowel movements, has been worse than during + after child birth.
