Yes no burning or itching today at all. it’s been 3 days, no blisters that I can see.

Thank you for responding, yes I meant anti virals. I took valtrex during my initial outbreak. My sores have been gone for almost 3 weeks now and the only sign I had before we had sex, was that I was super itchy but i was itchy in my pubic area and assumed I just needed to shower.

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with ghsv-1, I’ve been taking lysine daily and finished my antibiotics after my first outbreak. last night things got hot and heavy and I had sex with my partner. He wore a condom but today I’m burning and tingling. I’m so scared that I may have passed this onto him. I’m new to all of this and learning as much as I can. I was told by the dr that I probably wouldn’t have another outbreak since my first one was so mild.. I’m so confused. I inspected and there are no sores, yesterday I was itchy but I thought it was just from the sweat from working out. i had my first outbreak a month ago. Diagnosis shortly after. I just need to know what the chances are I could have passed this on, and when should I expect my partner to have symptoms so he can get tested as well. 😔

I was just diagnosed 1 week ago and before that had my first outbreak. Everything cleared up, I started the antibiotics still just to be safe and the last two days I’ve noticed slight burning and found one blister but not like my initial outbreak? is it possible to have another outbreak so soon? My dr told me with type 1 being from a cold sore on his mouth, means I probably would not have another outbreak in years if at all. im confused, I’m taking the antibiotics and the vitamin that prevents cold sores. What does this mean?!

After getting out of a 5+ year relationship, and going back and having sex with him while feeling vulnerable. i contracted herpes from him. He had a scab on his lip and reassured me it was nothing. 6 days after I developed a rash and got swabbed and tested. It is type 1. I confronted him and was devastated as I have not had any other partners. He laughed in my face and told me how gross I was. I already feel so ashamed and hurt from this and to have him treat me like this.. i feel like I will never be able to be with anyone again. I’m freshly single and feel like I’ll be alone because I’m too afraid to have to share this diagnosis if I were to date anyone. Please tell me it gets better..
