  1. I was helping out at a local eventing barn almost daily when I got my first outbreak. I was riding at least two horses per day, sometimes as many as 6. It was cold weather so heat clearly wasn't an issue but I didn't find any issues at all really. Granted it was slightly uncomfortable at times but not enough to make me want to get off. You're going to sit more on you're seat bones anyway so the rubbing won't be as bad as you think. I did have an issue once this summer after trail riding all day I felt almost as if I had saddle sores. I think it's just because the skin there is more tender now I don't think it was an OB. I was actually wearing jeans that day though. I haven't had that issue in breeches. Sorry I've written a novel about it but I def haven't found that it keeps me from riding.
  2. I know exactly what you mean. I didn't want to freak him out but I was worried. So I did exactly what I always do and run to google to think I figured something out haha. He actually saw that I was looking it up on my google history and I was mortified. But he hugged me and kissed me and told me that I didn't need to worry so much. I feel super lucky and appreciative to have someone so understanding :) Sorry for being mushy lol.
  3. You guys are awesome :) thanks for calming me down, I am feeling much less stressed about it now.
  4. Ok I don't even know where to start. I've been with my boyfriend for almost three months now. I disclosed before anything sexual happened and he was okay with everything. We have been super careful and I take valtrex daily. We had sex Friday and I woke up Saturday with a blister. I did not have any prodrome symptoms at all. Now he says his testicles feel chapped and I am terrified that I transmitted herpes to him. I cannot even think straight and just want to cry all day. I just don't know what to do.
  5. Lol I guess I'm just paranoid that every little thing is herpes... Thanks for the responses :)
  6. So I am still really new in dealing with all of this and I still grab a mirror and stare at things down there way too much! I've noticed quite a few times that I have a slight rash/ irritation where my butt cheeks touch. I have no clue if it's been there before H because I didn't spend any time looking there. This comes without any other symptoms. Does this sound like H or just a coincidence? I am trying my best to figure out my body and how it reacts.
  7. Don't think that way! I too am new at this but determined that it is not going to define my life! I am taking this time to take care of myself. Dating won't be easy but not impossible. The right person will love you for you and not care. So stay positive with me even though it won't be easy!
  8. I wish I knew, this is going on three weeks for me. I feel like I'm going to have another outbreak so I really hope I don't :(
  9. I feel your pain! I have the same thing, it hasn't stopped since my initial outbreak. My dr did call in another round of valtrex for me though. I hope you feel better soon!
  10. The flu like symptoms have been gone for just over a week but the shooting pains persist :( I'm still healing though so I hope my back pain goes away as quickly as yours! Thanks for the advice!
  11. Thanks so much for the advice! It seems to be doing better today so I'm hoping as the outbreak is clearing that these symptoms will get better also. I already take multivitamins daily as well as a b vitamin complex and vitamin c. I will definitely try the lysine though! Again, thank you so much!
  12. Hi! I'm new to this forum and I just got confirmation today that I have HS2. I had my first outbreak a couple of weeks ago. Today I finished my 10 days of valtrex and the sores are healing but I still feel very tender. I assume that's because it's still healing. Two days ago I started getting an intense pain in my lower back. I still have shooting pains down my legs. I'm assuming this is just the virus taking over the nerves but my question is what can I do to relieve the pain? It's constant and makes it difficult to work out and very uncomfortable to ride horses which I do several times per week. I am just trying to deal with all of this without letting it define me. Thank you for any advice and I apologize for rambling :)
