I am going through the same thing sorta.....3 years for me then after having my son my outbreaks have started on my butt..it used to be one single bump on my inner labia- no big deal...I wasn't sure if it was in fact H on my butt until recently...worst outbreak ever and after having it for 3 years it makes no sense. Going on 3 weeks now and new ones keep popping up in diff areas of my butt. And I freaked out thinking I was getting a whitlow on my fingers but so far nothing has surfaced completely. Then yesterday I started my period and feel like a bump is on the inside somewhere. It's very aggravating. I was under the same impression as you and didn't take extra precautions after having it for a while. We are both lucky to have a loving significant other who accepts our status. I guess we should just focus on that and be thankful. Sorry you are going through it.

Yeah same razor. My outbreak was always in an area where the razor didn't touch though

Thanks. I hate that this disease makes me paranoid like this. I also thought it was odd that suddenly they started appearing on my butt and I'm not sure it's even H on my butt bc I haven't had it swabbed but it keeps coming back and it seems like it is.

And if what I keep getting on my butt is a new herpes ob location then Ive already had a sore for about a week so how likely is a new location to pop up while one is already occuring. I realize everyone is diff.

About 2 weeks ago but I didn't use any today. After working out I stayed in my workout tank top all day and it is pretty tight. I really hope Im just paranoid. Worried about my babys head touching that area today when rocking him.

I've had hsv2 for about 2 years. I didn't have a single outbreak during pregnancy. I always only got one lesion on my inner labia. After having my son, I kept getting sores on my butt. And tonight My armpits now have the same type of sores. I have been holding my son all day. I'm really worried!!

Has anybody given birth since being diagnosed? I'm trying to weigh out the risks/benefits of taking an antiviral the last month vs not. I would like to know if anybody has had any experience with either? I would prefer not to take the medicine but worry about the need for a C Section. The meds have always made me feel sick.

I was monogamous with my now husband for over 3 years before I had my first outbreak. I only had one lesion down below. I went to the doctor a couple of days after it first appeared and all tests came back negative. They convinced me it wasn't herpes. But it was. 6mos later I got my second outbreak that tested positive. I have no idea who when where what or how this happened. My husband is H- as far as we know!

So I have been on suppressive therapy for about a month now so my husband and I can try to get pregnant. I take one a day every day at night. I now feel like an ob is around the corner. Should I increase it to twice a day?

Sorry chick. I decided to take the meds so I could have a good honeymoon. Well now i'm sick with an upper resp infection and now feel a little something coming on down there too....such luck!!!

I paid around $14usd for a 5 day script...that was with insurance help. I am to take two 500mg tablets per day. I think I'll start tomorrow. :(

Thank you....the doctor prescribed me the generic of Valtrex called valacylovir. I hope it's as safe as acyclovir

Recently diagnosed with HSV2 about a month ago. I live in central Ohio. I'm 30 and about to get married. I have been with my fiance for almost 4 years and we have both been faithful but the H devil decided to show his face. No idea when where or how I got it. As far as I know my fiance does not have it but he did get a sore on his butt recently so not sure? It would be nice to have an H buddy either new or tenured, preferably female around my age.

I am soooo against medicines unless I'm dying or have a serious infection so to even consider taking this has me totally upset....however, I feel like this H devil is all over the place and not being consistent plus my honeymoon is in two weeks. Any recommendations on the best pharmacy to go to in Ohio/Midwest area for pricing?? Has anybody experienced ill side effects? I am going to do the 2 pills for 5 days because apparently I have a new ob in diff spots...then maybe do the suppressive for a while??

I'm going through the same thing. My first ob was one small painless bump that went away within one week. My second ob started like almost 4 weeks ago and was in the same place but this time was painful and I had the itchy thing going on. I thought I was done but now I have several little tiny whiteheads around my vagina....I really thought obs occurred in the same spot every time. This is so frustrating!

The fact that I only had one small spot the first time and the beginning of this current time is what has held me together. It sucks to be scared of something you used to love, your genitals. :/

Thank you so much. I am also experiencing what I feel like is a back to back ob. As soon as my first one cleared after only one week, now a diff area is swollen and I feel some of the same symptoms. Did I spread it? :( I was super careful when wiping.
