Should I refrain from having intercourse? I found out I just have hsv 1 orally which is weird because my initial breakout was both orally and down there but not vaginally so that's a huge mystery for me. I know I'll never be able to kiss but I just want to be sure I can have intercourse with my bf without transmitting anything

so i'm trying to figure out if i have hsv 1 or 2 or both. when I received the news my gyn told me that hsv 1 and 2 are the same so I was never told which one I got and i've been wondering if they're the same why is there a 1 and 2 lol. I was also told depending on where the virus hangs out more confirms which strain of the virus you have. my first two obs were both my mouth and down there but since then i only get obs on my mouth, so are the statements true or should i just go get another blood test…

i'm new to the herpes crew and i believe i'm in the beginning stages of an outbreak. i really can't run to acyclivor(?) every second i feel something because i don't have a job at the moment. I normally get an ob around my lips once a month some where around the 3rd week of the month so I feel like its ready to break out! I've been taking lysine pills and i upped it to 3 times a day but what else can I do or use to make the bumps go down before they get ugly? thank you :)
