Just an update. This is definitely a cold sore. Throughout the day it has developed a tiny scab. I'm just a total wreck over this situation. I didn't think I had anything to worry about since it never blistered. Who has prodome for a week straight?! I never do. Does anyone have any stastics to ease my mind? Should I tell him? He's a great guy and I hate that I might have put him in a dangerous positition.

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed about four years ago. Have had multiple relationships since. I currently started dating a new guy I really like. I told him on our third date about having herpes. He's fine with it and we've been having sex. I'm on antivirals. No condom use. I felt a cold sore popping up on my mouth and started taking extra meds. It never blistered or anything it just was a red spot. On the sixth day after that I gave him a blow job after inspecting the cold sore. Never had any leaking or anything. I woke up today and the red spot is tender and more red and I'm scared I might have passed it on to him. What do you guys think the chances are of this? I've never had a scare like this about passing it on to someone.

Hey guys! I haven't been taking medication for awhile, because I haven't been sexually active lately. I just met a new person. Disclosure went great. He actually had an ex who had it. So it's time to take things to the next level. I started taking my meds again two days ago. My question is how long before it reduces viral shedding and it makes safer to have sex? Tganks again!

I'm still learning my body, but I'm 100% sure this is an outbreak. I've had it pop up there before and it's just like a mosquito bite that turns into a sore. With him not going close to that area help the situation at all and do you think it's still a pretty low chance of him catching it? I didn't feel any warning signs before this I just noticed it was there the day after. So sorry about the multiple post!

Hello everyone! I am new here as I was recently diagnosed about three weeks ago. I found out as I have started dating someone new and went to get a full STD check before we became intimate. The first few days were rough, but my new friend has been accepting and supportive. We just decided to take things extremely slow. So my question is this. Last week he gave me oral sex as my doctor said this was ok that even without condoms the risk is extremely low to pass on hsv2 orally. My concern is the next day I had a bump pop up on at the top of my buttcrack. I am on antivirals, but so worried I passed this on to him the first time we fooled around. His mouth was no where around where the bump is, but I'm just so concerned. Could someone pass on some information for me or help ease my mind?
