Anybody have insight on how long valtrex stays in the body? I've heard around a week sometimes even less?

Hey guys, new to this forum and haven't searched around much so I'm sure this question is repetitive but what's the deal with Valtrex (valacyclovir) 1gm and alcohol. I'm on a 2-a-day regimen for 10 days. Can you drink alcohol while on this medication? How long is it in your system? How long after I stop taking it do I have to wait? I'm fine with not drinking, it's just that I have a vacation payed for and planned which starts sept 4th, approximately one week after I have finished the valtrex and it's a much needed vacation, meaning I would really like to be able to relax and drink all day with family and not have to worry about some adverse reaction. Anyone have any stories or experience or advice on this? Thanks for listening.
