It has been a long road and I am dealing with same thing daily starting November 2014. I had spots show up Doctor said no at first then other doc said maybe so I got blood work done showed hsv1 positive.I have not had anymore noticeble sores but every time I pee it is slight burn,can't get all pee out of penis no matter what as soon as I put it in underwear the rest comes out never had this happen in my life and the red inflamed penis tip- hole never goes completely away.I went to the Heath department so many time they finally shot me up with the stuff to cure the other std's didn't work. The ladie could see that it was red and inflamed.i have a new baby on the way and my wife was having very abnormal discharge all the time.Now we have to know what is going on she want to have baby natural but I am scared to death the baby will contact something and cause blindness or death.there has been no sores for us just constant everyday symptoms. Someone on here was going to talk to Dr Leon I never heard anything back? Please help if have any info

?? Was told they really wouldn't help if there was no outbreak and I work in the heat all day didn't want to have bad side effects.

I am still having very noticeable redness at penis tip and around opening with the discomfort in my urethra like a constant burning that fades and comes on strong at times. I am at a loss I went back to Heath clinic and the ladie doctor said she could see the redness and wanted to treat me for any other possibilities gave me a shot and two pills I prayed this would work with everyone saying herpes doesn't last that long? It didn't clear it up so know I'm just going day by day but not feeling any change for the better. I have still not tried take antiviral daily that was my last hope and I'm to that point. If anyone that I have talked to has found out anything please let me know.

I feel the same way you do. It is super hard I have burning and sensitive skin to the touch and inflamed urethra 24/7 unless I'm off my feet. Today I tried to not wear cotton underwear so I could air out and the tip of my penis was unbearable rubbing on my board shorts.this is taking all the joy out of life for me. It's like my penis is taken over and feels 100% infected all the time.i almost want to ask for a IV of antiviral to see if that would nock it back. I'm at a loss?

Would you say same thing? Did you gland on head seem to get more wrinkled? I think a lot of it is to do with inflammation. On my tip around opening is always red and tinder. Have u tried suppressive with antiviral. I pray for both of us that this goes away

I have type one also. When I was reading your post I almost had to look and make sure I was not writing it. This has been very hard from the start I had one very small ob that at first was told it was nothing like you then another doc told me it was possible so I got blood test done. I have the same spots you talked about.there for awhile I had a good size area that would almost look to flare up when I would pee.i have the raw feeling skin on head and around rim also.the urethra burn and inflammation and not having full control over peeing is the biggest bs and scares the shit out of me I'm also early 30s.if you or anyone else that reads this finds anything that helps please PM me thanks.

No I started to try but was told it only helps with outbreaks? Didn't want to take all that antiviral if it wouldn't help.

I am still having constant burning in my urethra the tip of my penis seems to always be inflamed.It causes discomfort just rubbing on my underwear when I pee I can never seem to get all out no matter what I do as soon as I put it in underwear it dribbles out like I have no control over it also I have lost feeling in that area my ob was on my head of penis. This seem like what I have herd other people say other std feel like but they were able to clear those up with meds!this is showing no sign of letting up. I really want this feeling to go away it is turning my life up side down.

I have been told with no active ob you should be good to go?have you had more than one OB I also have ghsv1 and have only had the one ob but a lot of other issues most have settled down but still get red skin seeming inflamed at times also was just in shower and could see a dark pen head spot under skin that just fades away? I have noticed that happens in shower not sure if it's the warm water or what? I just wanted to post because i was thinking I was having constant prodomes also but now feel it is the nerves. My skin is still red daily and looks wrinkled. I know I'm not crazy when you look at something everyday of your life you can tell if has changed the way it looks! Thanks for any feedback.

Are your number of symptoms anything like mine whitedaisies ? You are still dealing with it? I'm like you at this point I just want the symptoms to go away and u would be fine with it. Just want to be able to live my life as I was!

I have been to infectious specialist and he said it might take a year or 3 but it will go away. Sent me on my way. I am trying to see a pain specialist I hate pain pills they have ruined many lives but I'm at my ends with this? Have you gotten any help by seeing them?

I can't focus on anything else but how my junk feels all day long. I'm not doing well and feel I can't do my task. I will loose my job if this does not go away soon and doesn't seem to be?

It seem to flare up after being on my feet all day. Has anyone else gone through this I'm going on 6months? I'm am really about to loose it.my urethra is always irritated also after I pee and put it up will cover my underwear like I have no control. I wish there was something I could do I'm in a living hell.i can't do my job it is 100% physical and I'm so over it by the end of the day if this goes on any longer I won't have a job.when I do get home and take a bath the tip and head turn completely red in the area of pain.

It was last November. it's the nerves right in the area that I had only ob. The skin will just turn red and get the burning in same place as the skin is also sensitive. I pray that I to wake up one day and this is gone it's just been going on so long. Thanks for the hope.

We have talked yes I have had the same feeling also.thats seem to flare up at times also? My skin in area of only ob is still turning red As the day goes on as I'm on feet all day it's like the presser just builds up all day.when i pull it out to pee u can see a red patch form in front of my eyes that is where the burning is located and after I shower it is plan as day? With the discomfort in the urethra still! Driving me crazy

Not sure how long it would take? I have H1 also and have been told if your not having a ob your good to go that it sheds a lot less than type 2. I would think a week or so? Did you go back to feeling normal after your ob? I have had lingering pain right after sores cleared and urethra issues from the beginning. Your a bit further along than me was hoping you have some light for this endless tunnel. Thanks

O yea with a super sore lower back for 2 months? Also with urethra pain. I have been to specialist and urologist none seem to care and I didn't really push the phn at the time they all saying it will go away?

I get mine in same location as my only Ob. It seems to get worse by night I have the burning skin sensitive to the touch anything I wear most of the time it's very annoying pain others it's it unbearable. The skin gets red and inflamed it all I can feel from the time I wake up till I go to bed this is right on my penis head. If it were any other place I could just deal with it but this is killing me. PHN from HSV it's real and I hope it goes away

Yea that seems to be the problem? I would like to get a doc that would treat it the same as shingles PHN. I'm about to be non stop working mine seems to flare up after all day on my feet so I'm freaking out at this point.i can feel it all day just gets worse by night.i can see my skin turn red right in front of my eyes in the same spot as OB the same way I have read that shingles PHN symptoms happen with the burning. I'm just feeling like the rest of you praying I wake up one day very soon and don't feel this anymore.i would not wish this on anyone.

Does your doc ever think it will go away? That's where I am depression from the phn and the physical part sucks very bad also? I sure hope this is not a life long thing!

You got a doc to see that it is possible from HSV? I can see my skin flare up in the same spot of my only OB from hsv1? It is constant feeling that I feel at this point is never going away.does anyone know if this ever goes away in the shingles or herpes cases.i can deal with a sore but this constant feeling is going to kill me mental and physical.

I in same boat no sore just the irritation. Was going to see another urologist but after the first one figure what is the point? Anyplace my skin folds is same also? Hope for both of us it goes away soon I'm well over 6 months started to take 2 antiviral a day hope that helps?

Only thing I can think is PHN that is most common with shingles but is reported more and more with hsv.i am having same thing going on the skin will turn red and feel irritated. I would say mine is more burning feeling sucks bad.my back has also been sore for over a month. I read that 50% of people got some relief from antivirals for PHN ?

Yep I would agree with whitedaisies. I have looked up everything trying to figure out why I feel this way.I am freaking out because of the way I feel at this point and how long it has lasted.I can forgive myself for things but won't be happy if I can never feel normal again. What I have found it is rare but with more research finding that it's being documented more? I think it's PHN or post viral syndrome if there not the same thing.all I can hope is one day to wake up and it be gone.Does it fade away mono and shingles? Thanks for any info
