My first BO occurred July 2014 while I was with a guy who I've been with at that time for 9 months. Before this I've had sexual relations with 2 people back in 2010 and 2011 with no signs of any issue down there. Is it possible I could of gotten HVS years ago from my previous partners and didn't get an OB or anything till recently or does it seem more possible that i could of gotten it from my current partner who shows no sign of it what's so ever. I'm so confused if anyone has any insight on this please feel free to tell me!

Can I still get tested for herpes type 1 and 2 without having any symptoms? Although I had my first and only break out thus far since July I really just want to make sure what type I have before I break the news to my partner. Thanks
