  1. Thx @stillstanding @optimist @cheezit @nothinggoodgetsaway
  2. I went to the opthamologist. I was informed that I have chronic dry eye but keratic precipates were noted. I have a follow up in a few weeks; vision is still not back. Eyes feel as though they're in business for themselves--they not in sync :( Hopefully, this is alleviated soon. Additionally, I pray I can get on antiviral. All my tests continue to come up 0.90, so all the drs say that I'm negative--even when I argue them down that it's equiovocal :(
  3. No! I haven't because I have experienced what I thought were symptoms (sharp pains, tingling, & now I am losing sight in my right eye). Praying it's not ocular herpes--but just my luck, it will be :(
  4. I continue to test negative; however, I know I have it. I tested positive once 1.02--each subsequent time, I've tested negative. The doctor's don't listen to me but I know something is wrong as evidenced by the sharp pains I get that mirror contractions.
  5. I am in the worst mental state at the moment. The other day, I noticed that my vision was changing. I could no longer see clearly out of my right eye. I had noticed a slight pain before, but I brushed it off. I went to the E.R. a few days ago because I had extreme headaches & neck stiffness. Of course, nothing was noted & I was provided the traditional pain meds & sent on my way. However, I know something is severely wrong. I have noticed that driving to work is a real challenge.i am so thankful that I have arrived safely after each trip. My vision has diminished so much in my right eye that I can barely perform my job. I haven't noticed any active lesions; however, I'm terrified of the thought of ocular herpes. I really hate that I am going through all of this. I know many are going to say that acquiring herpes in the eye is rare, but with my weakened immune system (lupus) it doesn't seem to be a rarity. Hopefully, I can hang on until my appointment with my opthamologist next week! I have tried to be positive, but I can't find any ounce of optimism at this point. I'm 33 & going blind. WTF? All because of herpes!
  6. Hi Pecan. How do I begin. Le sigh. June 2014-I received a call from the doctor. She informed me that my test came back positive for HSV-2 antibodies (1.02 value). I questioned her about the test validity bc I too had never had an OB. She states that she believes that I should be retested bc I have a low antibody count & have never shown any symptoms. I proceed with life & resolved to tell my then boyfriend about my diagnosis the same day that I was informed. He says it's no big deal & that we would not break up for that. A year later, i was retested (annual exam). My doctor calls me & says she has never witnessed anything like this in her entire career. She states that I am negative for all tests including H. My mouth opens & I want to believe this is true, but can't. The next few months, I retest & it shows negative once again. I'm still in a state of disbelief. Both times that my test have shown negative, the values were equivocal (0..90 to be exact). So I operate as if I have it. But to piggyback off of your statement, I often wonder how many others walk around thinking that they have a clean bill of health but are in a similar situation.
  7. Hello Caligirl85, Your questions are great & I've actually wondered how the immune system impacts the degree or severity of symptoms. I present in a way that I would consider atypical. I have never had an outbreak to my knowledge. I get mild itching & tingling (the tingling came about after discovering I had H) from time to time. I have lupus & I thought that my weakened immune system would cause me to have severe OBs.
