  1. My partner tested negative for HSV1 with blood test only, no swab. He had some bumps on his chin and sore gums recently. Then I tested positive for GHSV1 recent exposure, negative for previous exposure. He is my only partner. My question is can he get GHSV1 as well if he really does have HSV1 orally? And can I get HSV1 orally from him?
  2. Could someone test negative for HSV1 with just a blood test and no swab, and really have it? My partner tested negative, then I got GHSV1. My tests (blood/swab) revealed that I was negative for previous exposure, positive for recent exposure. I have had no other partner.
