Anyone in Canada?

This whole hair loss thing has got me freaked out!!! I just started on suppressive therapy Valtrex and I keep hearing about hair loss! Is it something that would happen right away? Does your hair grow back if it does happen to fall out? How many of you out there have really experienced this? I'm so terrified. I have to take it daily because I am married. I'm wondering if the hair loss is from the stress of this?

I'm in the same boat. Had my first outbreak Around Jan 10. Took about a week or so to heal but the itching hasn't stopped. Dr gave me some cream (hydrocortisone with clomitrazole which is Canesten I believe). This seems to help a bit. I'm on suppressive Valtrex too. Wondering if that stuff makes you itchy.

Are recurrent outbreaks as painful as first? Or are they different? Just wondering what to expect moving forward.

This is after everything healed. My dr gave me 1% hydrocortisone mixed with clomitrazole which I believe is Canesten cream to apply twice a day for the itching. I have only just started using it once a day and it seems better. But I'm also under a lot of stress dealing with the fact of having herpes and something else going on in my life so I don't know if it's that that could be aggravating the itch. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting another outbreak but who knows. It seems to get very itchy at night too.

So I had my very first outbreak Jan 10. It lasted about 7-10 days....worst pain in my life. Now a few weeks later I am still itchy down there. It's itchy inside and outside. From the time I cleared up until now I've been itchy. My doctor says it may still be healing, your body is getting used to it, your nerves are "mad". I'm taking 500mg Valtrex everyday as suppressive therapy since I am in a relationship (as per my doctor). Do you think That's making me itchy? Did anyone else experience this? Like I said it's been about 3 weeks since my ob. It's driving me nuts!!!!
