  3. I did a test back in may and the igg results stayed the same for hsv2( 0.10)(they didn't test igg for hsv1) but the igm results went from 1.0 equivocal to 1.70 positive(both combined test hsv1&2), I don't have any physical symptoms besides me going crazy and feeling tingling in my lips all the time and in my vagina as well as having a red spot come and go the longest it would stay is some hrs and thee doctors looked and can't seem to find anything, every little thing I feel I get scared, I don't even want to go outside .. I need some relief it's been like 3 months of me worrying and driving myself crazy, I'm so sad ..

  6. Hey guys, as much as I was hoping I didn't have this I do .. just got my results back today and it was HSV1 & 2 IGM 1.70 positive, the doctor didn't really act like it was a big deal and also didn't prescribe anything. What she explained to me is that they tested me to see if I had an old infection in which they used the igg test (both hsv1 & 2 igg results are 0.10 negative) and then they tested for a recent infection which is why they used the IGM test. My questions now are is this number going to keep climbing ? Because it was equivocal before Is everyone I come into contact with going to get this? Because the 1 & 2 results were combined would that mean that I also had a recent infection for hsv2? (Testing is really confusing) How do I know for sure if I have it on my genitals ? (All the doctor said was this is very common and you get it from kissing then asked was "did he perform oral? Then kind of nodded her head yes)

  8. Additional info this person was newly diagnosed about a year ago and said they never had a outbreak (cold sore) since but has had them in the past (before diagnosis) he uses a cream on his lips pretty often even when there's no outbreak
  9. Hello all, I am coming to you guys to get some insight on a situation I'm in. At the beginning of the year I became sexually active with a new partner. Before hand I asked this person if he had ever gotten tested before and this person responded yes and things were good. Moving forward we had sex 3 times but I noticed that this person never really wanted to perform oral sex on me I found it very weird so I asked why he said he just didn't like it but then by the second time we had sex he decided to do it but he was very carful and didn't put his lips on my vagina as I saw he was only using his tongue. Life eventually got busy and we were not having sex anymore but he always said that he had something he wanted to tell me but was scared to so eventually he got the courage to say it and it was that he has hsv-1. I was very understanding I wasn't upset at all but as days went by I felt more and more betrayed and started to do my own research on it and things weren't looking too promising. So I waited about 12 weeks and then went to get my blood test about a week ago my doctor said that the results came back 1 equivocal for hsv1 she didn't show me the results either .. she explained a little but I wasn't really understanding she said it doesn't mean I have it but the way I feel is if you had absolutely no sign of it wouldn't it say 0 ? I've been doing so much research on what a equivocal result means some people say it's neg some say it's doesn't really mean neg or pos I am very afraid and worried about it she said I can test again in 2 months. But what I want to know is even if it does say equivocal does that mean that it can go back to negative or is it only going to go to positive from here on out. I'm trying to find some peace of mind here for the next couple months please help? Thanks
