I'm currently experiencing my first outbreak. Does anyone have any advice on how to reduce swelling? It isn't necessarily painful but there is pressure. And also, I've been on Acyclovir for four days now but I'm still having new sores pop up, is that normal while taking the medicine?

I was diagnosed with herpes yesterday after discovering sores. I was put on Acyclovir 200mg 6 doses a day. This morning I woke up and immediately sat in a warm bath as adviced to me and noticed the area was already looking better (after taking a full days dose). However, I spent the day running general errands and when I returned home I was utterly exhausted and the area had swollen back up and seemed to have gotten worse again. I was wondering if that was normal and if I should try to avoid being up on my feet running around until the outbreak has healed.
