  1. My meatus is still swollen but my glans are not as dry and flaky as they used to be. I do not know if this is because of the fluconazole, but in any case my ten day prescription did run out. The glans do look better, but still feel as though the meatus is still the same, which is sensitive/swollen/slightly irritated. Work and working out are the only things that keep my mind off of it. Thanks Jack101! I think I will try to get an MRI or CTscan done next.
  2. I do not feel as if the Fluconazole is helping because it has been 3 days and no change. But, yesterday was the first time I did feel some minor spasms on the left pelvic area in the upper regions of the pubic area for a few seconds.
  3. I just saw my Dermatologist today too, she said that my glans look as though I have eczema so she said I should use Hydrocortizole but I am hesitant because it is known to thin out skin. What do you think? My Urologist did not mention to put lotion on it.
  4. Hi Jack, I just went to my Urologist yesterday again, I got the fluconazole for 10 days but it is only 200mg. Hopefully it works! I also gave him another urine sample to test and if nothing comes up again or if fluconazole doesnt work, I will be getting a CT scan or a MRI to see what else might be the problem. He did check my prostate again and said that it was indeed swollen but was surprised I didnt have any pelvic issues. I will let you know again how the pills work out.
  5. But compared to how I felt before, the penis feels slightly better but not completely 100% I am wondering if my body or cells have learned to cope with pain but the underlying root is still there. Appreciate you checking up on me.
  6. Thanks Jack, sorry for the late response, does candida go away on its own eventually? I will bring it up to my urologist. The pain seems to be lessening but am still afraid of having sex because the tip still seems sensitive. The meatus still looks swollen and sensitive but it has been about 7 months since my first herpes outbreak.
  7. Hey Jack thanks for checking up on me, my conditions do not seem to have improved. Although I have stopped taking meloxicam, I am on a supplement called prosta-Q and still taking 5mg of amitriptyline every night. My meatus is still inflamed and I know sex will be painful which has led me to feel depressed when I go home because I cannot go out and socialize with women because I know I will not be able to perform. I thought that this would run its course by now and that I would eventually heal but there has been no change. Sorry to say that I have not taken any mastic gum either but I have taken other antibacterial supplements. Please let me know your thoughts and if you have any other antibiotics in mind that I can bring up to my urologist. I am going to make another appointment. Again, thank you for checking up on me.
  8. Thank you so much Jack101! I was prescribed another 14 days of meloxicam and am still taking 5mg of Ametriptyline everyday. My Urologist told me on Dec 22nd that with non bacterial prostatitis, that my painful condition will not be there forever but he did not tell me how long it will take to go away. He seemed convinced that sometimes, all it takes is meloxicam, and that it will soothe the inflammation even after I stop taking it. I will look into the mastic gum regimen but I was wondering what kind of antibiotic course you were thinking. I want to know so that I can also get the opinion of my Urologist next time I see him. When I was on Bactrim, I was nauseous and it made the pain on meatus worse! But it did not burn as much as it did when I was on Cipro (I took Cipro for 5 days months ago b/c my general practitioner thought it was a UTI). I stopped taking the Bactrim after only a few days b/c I thought the antibiotics were supposed to improve the symptoms, not make it worse so I became worried and will contact my Urologist to see if worsening of the pain is normal or not. Once again I thank you for your support and advice Jack!
  9. The Meloxicam helped but it did not cure 100% so I am still taking it. I still have irritation and sporadic pain on the tip of my penis. The Urologist also gave me Bactrim for 10 days in case of bacteria even though the urine test showed no sign of bacteria and no sign of ureaplasma/mycoplasma. I am getting depressed thinking there is no cure and will not be able to have sex for the rest of my life. I can deal with the genital herpes but this chronic inflammation of meatus and urethra is killing me slowly. If anyone else has the same problem, please share.
  10. I love that we are in the age of the internet and we can confide with each other about this. I got genital H last August and am still struggling to stay positive. My parents keep bugging me about marrying and giving them grandchildren and it makes me so sad everyday that I may never be able to do that because of my disease. Thank you guys for the words of encouragement.
  11. I am now just waiting on results from urine sample as well. Will continue to post. Thanks!
  12. Jack101, I went to my new urologist today and he examined my prostate this time and said that there was inflammation of prostate. My urethra was reddish too. He prescribed me 14 days of Meloxicam. He said that certain bacteria could have gone all the way to my prostate from the unprotected oral sex thus diagnosing me with prostatitis. He also took a urine sample for myco, urea, and trich and a round of bacteria stuff to detect stuff like ecoli and etc. He was bewildered why my other urologist didnt even bother to examine my prostate.
  13. Are you serious? Are you really getting so worked up over oral herpes??? I wish I had oral herpes instead of genital!!! What I would do to be in your position right now! Don't you know that more than half the people in the world have oral herpes? You are now a member of 70 percent of the world population. Stop blowing it up like you have some special life threatening disease. There is no stigma with oral herpes and you dont have to worry about disclosing it to anyone before sex unless you are having a outbreak with oral herpes.
