  1. I'm looking for a place that will test for free or cheap in nyc. are the free clinics any good? don't have health care at the moment and thanks guys
  2. I had sex with a prostitute (not illegally, we are friends and had a moment) without a condom. Irresponsible. My mind state was pure drunken self-loathing and apathy. I actually WANTED to contract something. But of course I was not in my right mind. At first when she revealed that she has HPV and HSV2 she said I wasn't at risk. Not that I'll take her word for it. Now she's saying I should get tested just to be safe. My understanding is that the HSV2 risk for a man (me) is about four percent per encounter and can be reduced with certain things like condoms. And the HPV risk is 20 percent. What am I going to experience if I have both? Let's assume I have both. I have been almost completely asymptomatic so far. The encounter happened in late June 2017. It is now Late November 2017 (about 5 months/20 weeks/140 days). The only time I have ever had unprotected sex. We had sex the day after. Unprotected vaginal and brief oral the first day. Some kissing. Protected anal and vagina the next day. About 24 hours after the encounter my penis felt quite weird but I haven't felt or seen a thing since. I just assumed it was sore (the sex was fairly rough, I've heard this increases chances). I haven't had a single outbreak of any kind. I will get tested for good measure soon. What kind of test should I take? There's no way I'm wasting the clinic's time is there? I live in NYC for what it's worth. I'm sure I urinated a lot after the encounter and washed my genitals thoroughly with soap if that matters. What should I do? And thank you very much in advance.
