Valtrex Question

Hi,

 

I was recently diagnosed with genital herpes, which I got from an ex-girlfriend of mine (which she knew but did not disclose to me). I have a current girlfriend who does not have herpes. Although I have no symptoms, I want to reduce the chance that I transmit the virus to my girlfriend. I am going to start taking Valtrex tomorrow. How long do you think it will take before I can be intimiate with my girlfriend?

I’d give it about a week to be on the safe side and give it plenty of time to work through your system and start bringing down the viral shedding.

Hi Has anyone used 250mg valtrex as suppressive  therapy

Have any of you given your bodies a break from long term suppressive therapy say for example 2 to 3 days off every few months or so

what sort of break do you do few days, 1 day or longer.
