Scared and confused

Hello everybody I have hsv2 I've had the virus for two weeks. I don't want to have relations with anyone. I don't want to get anyone else infected I just feel that this is it for me I'm just scared and nervous. what should I do

the way you feel is completely natural and normal. I felt the same way for a long time. The good thing is, I don't feel that way anymore! I would say the more you educate yourself on hsv2 the better you'll feel and the more you talk on here & read other people's stories the better you'll feel too! You'll realize that it's not as bad as you're thinking it is right now. Is it something that anybody wants? No not really :-) but it's definitely not the end of the world like you're feeling right now and how I felt in the beginning as well :-D

I wish I would've found this site when I first found out to be able to hear from people that it was gonna be okay.

I'm only a year in but I can tell you the longer you live life with herpes the more you realize how little it affects your life. Hang in there it gets better I promise!

Hey Shay! Yes, how you're feeling is normal for people in the beginning. And the vast majority of people who start off in a bad place after a herpes diagnosis come to find that the suffering is 90% mental and 10% physical. The stigma is what infects us more than the virus itself. So start recognizing the thoughts you think, the impact those thoughts have on your experience of your life and move from that place into healing. Let the thoughts go that don't serve you and your happiness and your overall zest for life. ;) Love yourself. Everything that you don't want and don't need falls away and your awesome life is revealed. We only get one life, so let's live it up, shall we? :)

 

I'm working on the home study course as we speak. It's coming along and I can't wait to let you all have at it so the deeper healing can begin! It's time to stop suffering and start living.
