Is this Herpes?

Recommended Posts

sorry, just a bit confused and clinics are closed.

I had what i thought were two lesions so i had antivirals sent to my pharm. but they never burst or crusted over? it healed in about a week and it just looks slightly paler than the rest of the skin. Do obs always burst then crust over? was it the medication? do i have a different std?

any help would be nice!

thank you

For the most part, herpes outbreaks are lesions that eventually crust over during the healing phase. There is another type of herpes outbreak that look like a papercut, but it doesn't sound like that's what you have. It's so hard to diagnose via text, so keep your eye on it for any future outbreaks. Take pictures of what might show up to show to your doctor next time you're able to go. The ideal thing to do once this quarantine is over (who knows when!) is to see your doc when there's an active lesion to get swabbed, but I get that's not possible now.
