Outbreak Location

Has anyone has GHSV internally? My outbreak was all inside my vagina...I usually only see people comment about outbreaks externally....so I guess I’m wondering if it’s common or normal to only have internal outbreaks. Thank you!

How did you know that you had an internal outbreak? I’ve never had a true outbreak which is why I’m asking.

I had a flu-like symptoms (legit thought I had the flu) and then a day later I couldn’t walk without being in pain...after a day I looked inside my vagina and saw it was really inflamed and there was at least 1 ulcer I could see right on the inside of my vagina opening. I went to the obgyn and he looked inside and saw the ulcer and said “yep that’s herpes” swabbed it and it came back negative for HSV2 (so I’m assuming it’s HSV1).....but he said it’s likely there were many ulcers inside that he couldn’t see because my vagina was too inflamed to look deeper inside....gave me Valtrex and it went away after 3 days of taking it.

My first was internal, then none for over a decade and now only in the butt region 🍑

@My_dog_is_hungry ok so I’m not alone haha because it really seems like the majority of people have outbreaks externally!!
