Bleeding heavy during sex after testing positive

Hey,

Everytime I’ve had sex since I tested positive (my partners have always been aware that I have genital HSV1) I have bled heavily. After speaking to doctors they told me its probably just tears/bruises. But part of me feels like its related to the herpes since I never experienced bleeding like this before. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this too and what they’ve done?

Hi @MoonSun! I haven't personally heard any connection to herpes outbreaks and bleeding. What location genitally have you gotten outbreaks? Outbreaks don't tend to happen internally, so I wouldn't assume would contribute to bleeding.
