Questions about outbreaks?

So I've now had three outbreaks in the last three months. They seem to go in a cycle on a week off for three weeks and then it returns. It's not a bad outbreak when it does but it's a little discouraging because I was hoping to have a lot less of them. Is it normal to have outbreaks like this? Will they reduce and slow down in time? What's your experience with them?. I read a lot of people only have a few a year and maybe my immune system isnt good and that's the reason I've had them so close together. I dont know how true that is.

I just posted about a friend of mine recently diagnosed who has one sore from his initial outbreak that doesnt seem to fully heal... it gets better then after a week gets worse again... I'm not sure if it's his immune system but he's a healthy guy. I am looking for answers to this as well.

Everyone is different. I had my first ob 15 years ago, then nothing for well over a decade. Then I start getting them sporadic like 4 times a year for 2-3 years. I just finished a 3 month period of it coming on and off short obs followed by short breaks. I quit a crap job and now I haven't had a twinge in 8 weeks.

The outbreak I am having now is going away pretty quickly it's already starting to heal much faster than my others so that makes me feel better. I'm hopeful that after awhile my body will adjust and I'll have the outbreaks less.
