Finger transmission

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm feeling extremely dark right now and could really use some reassurance.

I was with a new guy last night and I let him touch me before disclosing. I feel absolutely terrible and borderline suicidal about this. It was mainly clitoral massage but some very brief fingering as well. He touched his mouth a few times, I'm not sure if the same finger. I have not had an actual sore in 8 years. What is the likelihood of anything? I never thought this was a risk but I'm second guessing myself and so I'm extremely angry with myself for doing the whole heat of the moment disclosure and AFTER letting him touch me. I'm struggling and don't know what to do.

Genital herpes (HSV-2) to finger transmission is pretty rare if there's not an outbreak present.

Even more rare. Only 1-2% of oral herpes cases are HSV-2. Especially if you aren’t having an active outbreak (not that you’d be fooling around if you were!), 😋 there’s very little chance of asymptomatic viral shedding being transferred without direct skin-to-skin contact (mouth-mouth, genital-mouth, genital-genital).
