I have a two year old. I found about my hsv 5 years ago. I had 3 ob out of the 5 years. I was sleeping slobbing and my kid eye touched my mouth. Can i possibly pass him hsv? What symptoms should i be looking for?

Hello,

Did you have any open sores or any symptoms when this happened?  Transmission is a minimal risk when you dont have any open sores or blisters.

Hey @Reoccurring! If you didn't have open sores or other symptoms of HSV it would be extremely unlikely for infection to occur.

HSV can be transmitted even in absence of sores but you need to be actively shedding and contact needs to be prolonged and there needs to be friction.

From what you've described I don't think there is a chance for your child to be infected.
