Cant do this alone anymore - very depressed about herpes diagnosis

I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I can't continue to try and act like everything is okay. I have taken being diagnosed with herpes and made it the end of my life. I thought i had it all and one night completely has made my entire life be a year full of suppressed depression. I hope this works because i just can't handle it anymore.

I'm glad you're here. You even posting on this forum means you care about your own happiness. Reaching out and asking for help is huge. And that feels good to see you taking care of yourself like this, even in the midst of the suffering that it sounds like you're going through. I feel you. I remember that suffering in my own life years ago and my heart goes out to you. It does. And know that you don't have to suffer. A lot of what you are feeling comes directly from what you are choosing I believe about what having herpes means to you, to your life, to your future. Does that make sense? Now's your chance to shift those associations in yourself and be happy again.

 

I'm curious ... how you have made your herpes diagnosis the end of your life? Everyone has their own special way of making this the end of the world when it doesn't have to be. :) So what are your reasons?
