models and stars but he just laghs about. If I made

Immediately, our brains began tallying all the ladies with bold-face names we know with whom serial-dater Jeter has gotten to home base. Luckily, so did gossip site Holy Candy, who made a handy chart so we can track who's at risk for the gift that keeps on giving. After the jump, the Derek Jeter Herpes Tree.

Did Derek Jeter Gave Poor Jessica Alba Herpes?

We kinda like how they treat dudes in Hollywood like baseball cards or something. But we didn't realize that Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel were so into each other's sloppy seconds! Also, does this mean that Cameron Diaz is in danger?

1) almost everyone gets HPV (which I think you meant HSV, but just putting this out there) at some point in their life. Really. Luckily most don't do anything. But that's a whole nuther subject.

2) I have a client who is an Escort. She says in the movie/escort sex industry (where they get tested on a VERY regular basis) the general rule is they don't have to disclose Herpes before contract (for films) because they all have it. Most other STD's have to be revealed in the contract. They just gave up worrying about it I guess.

Again, Herpes doesn't care who you are - it's an equal opportunity disease. So of course there will stars who have it....

Does'nt seem to have hurt their careers. If the sex industry has 100% infection rate to the point they don't even have to disclose then what the hell is all the fuss about?

By the age of thirty if you have not been exposed to it then you are either a catholic Nun/Priest that actually follows the rules or a hermit living in a cave.

Yes I meant HSV. Winder if the virus is the same exact strain in everybody or are there variations?

I've heard that there are some mutations creeping around that are more resistant to the Valtrex and such. But at present HSV1 is one "strain" as is HSV2.....

Hey all!

Yep, just goes to show that herpes is an equal opportunity virus. It will even *gasp* go for rich celebrities! :) And ultimately, let's not get too caught up in who has it and who doesn't. It's just fueling the fire for us to compare our lives to someone else's so we can either feel better or worse. Either way, it's not having us actually concentrate on our own healing and our own beliefs about ourselves. That's where the healing is. Not in gossip about other people.

Here's a video I recorded with a fellow forum member (who is also a clinician) about celebrities with herpes to contribute to this conversation:

The tabloids seem to be the main source of the info. Mainstream media does get near this stuff. Which is probably a good thing.

too bad. If you made it to saint you could have publically disclosed, which would have helped the awareness bigtime.
