Herpes itch driving me crazy

Recommended Posts

So the last known outbreak I've had was in oct that was also my initial now for the last day or two I've had some serious inch on my butt which is so uncomfortable I notice it the most in bed and it's driving me crazy I have no redness or bumps I made my bf check last night but it's driving me crazy what could this be and how come it's only in that one spot is they anything I can use? And does this mean I'm getting an outbreak or is itch normal I know it's happened before to other areas but thing happened I'm hoping the same for this

I was thinking of using cortisone cream but I looked it and it said that can make it worse if it is herpes related so I was scared to try it there's no sign of anything my 1st was out break was in different areas but I don't remember getting an itch like this and it's never happened to me before it's not painful just annoying has anyone ever used cortisone cream during an outbreak I'm scared to use anything other then soap down there I don't wanna trigger anything

Try the cortisone on one small area and see what happens.

The reason it makes herpes worse is that a rash is usually an "overreaction" by the body to a substance so the cream makes the body stop reacting to the irritant...whereas we WANT the body to react to the Herpes virus ... we want the immune system to do it's job to make it go away and in doing so, it creates more antibodies for future OB's so they are not as bad.

If you put it on one small area and it gets worse, well, odds are it is a Prodrome and you will know for future reference. If it's a rash it should soothe it and you can then put it on the rest of the area.
