Should I refrain from having intercourse? I found out I just have hsv 1 orally which is weird because my initial breakout was both orally and down there but not vaginally so that's a huge mystery for me. I know I'll never be able to kiss but I just want to be sure I can have intercourse with my bf without transmitting anything

Are you saying you have Herpes genitally and orally? And if so, do you know for sure that you have HSV1 genitally? You say it's "down there" but not vaginally? Can you clarify?

 

That said, if your OB is on your mouth, then you can have sex - it will only be shedding heavily around the mouth right now...but you CAN kiss otherwise....

 

Are you on anti-virals??? That will cut your shedding and OB's by about 50%
