I do not have any sores but things are not right. I have discharge that looks like infection. When I wipe myself after I pee, it feels like sandpaper. Is this considered an outbreak? Does this have anything to even do with herpes?

Have u been diagnosed with H? And wondering if this is an outbreak? Or do I just have the strange symptoms and are concerned?

My first outbreak felt like a rub burn way down on my perineal area. I felt small bumps there. Assumed rub burns from te panty liners I had been wearing or something like that. A day later it looked like a canker sore (actual canker sores in the mouth are totally unrelated) there. Smaller than a dime and burned like the dickens when urine hit it. The doc swabbed it and said it was h2.

Dancer - she is amazing and knows tons she may have more to say on that issue.

I am H+ (don't know which kind). I had my first outbreak in February. I'm not sexually active right now but I am very stressed. Just confused.

Hi,

I do get sometimes this red areas without blisters(for short time after shower or being to long in the sun ,it don't stay long) . Yes it can be an Ob even if you don't show any blisters...for me it don't feel like sandpaper but it do look suspicious. I guess at that time the virus is spreading but we cant be sure about it because herpes is a little motherfucker :) who do what it wants. I check every day and I think my mind see sometimes more then there is, well I am sometimes confused too even after 2 years of H but I do understand the virus much more then in the beginning.

The discharge isn't likely H ... I would get that checked for sure because it could be a yeast infection (which would have the other symptoms too) ... it could also be a handful of other things .... so get it looked at.

Antibiotics and an imbalance of sugar (from eating a lot of sugar and refined fours and such) in the system can cause yeast infections .... as well as stress.... and it's pretty common .... and easy to clear up.

And it's worth asking which kind of H you have (they should have it in your records) because you can then compare with any new partner to see if you both have the same one or not ... it can affect how you then go forward with protective measures with them.

No really too much to ad, Dancer brought up yeast infections and that's what your symptoms sound like. It could be any number of bacterial infections. Herpes usually starts as a itching/burning then turns into blisters/sores within a few days. There can sometimes be a discharge, but it's not typically "white" like with a yeast infection. The burning and itching is why people confuse the two.
