veterans- can you tell when youre shedding?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

A good rule of thumb is prodomal symptoms. If you start feeling them assume you are shedding to be safe. I feel them from time to time. I don't get outbreaks much these days. So when I feel the itch or prickly sensation I assume I am shedding at that point. It usually passes in a day or so.

There are two types of shedding as it were. . Prodromal, where you get tingly, itchy, burning, etc sensations (varies from person to person) and asymptomatic which means you have no symptoms. . That's the tricky bit with H But if you are generally really careful about avoiding sex when you*think*you are having symptoms that really reduces your risk a lot. . If you use anti virals that reduces that asymptomatic shedding a lot. .
