How can you get herpes?

Okay, I craft....crochet, knit, stuff like that. I know the answer to this question, but I have to ask it anyway. Is there any way I could pass H on to someone via something I made. I would love to make hats to give to people's babies, but I just don't know for sure if I should.

Uh - how do you think you would pass it on to someone with something you made??? If that was the case EVERYONE would have it ;)

 

You don't pass the virus on through your hands ... it's in your genitals or on your mouth friend... and it dies on contact with the air/sun/etc within very short order. So no, you cant pass it on that way. Knit away!!!!

I know it may *seem* like you're just a big ol' virus factory that's just cranking those suckers out polluting the world with herpes, but like Dancer said herpes just isn't passed that way.

I needed to hear that. Thank you for indulging me. As for dying on contact, I have heard anywhere from 3 seconds to 13 hours.

LOL - I just read your other post - you've had this 26 years .... honey, if you ain't infected the whole world with it by now, how on earth do you think you will pass it on with a knitted sweater and matching mittens.... think about it ... LOL ;)

ill take a cool afghan for my couch. I understand your worry. I have a son. but no as others said it dies pretty fast outside the body. the worst ive heard, under absolute perfection was 8 hours but knitting doesn't create that perfection and it was a troll on another site so I consider the source. Do yourself a favor, stop looking at google search results or at least only look at info from actual medical centers and universities, if all that other stuff was true id be cured have the worlds longest penis and a fat wallet from my Nigerian friends.
