Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with herpes. I've been taking the antivirals for months. It hasn't helped at all. Does anybody have any home remedies that work. Medicine has not helped me.

Hi. Have you tried taking L-Lysine? I take 1000mg once a day and it works for me. I'm sorry you haven't had much relief. I hope you feel better soon!

No I have not. Did it help with an outbreak or is it to prevent outbreaks. Also is it over the counter? If so where can I buy it. Thank you for your response.

Hi @Chris365!

U can get l lysine in 500 mg capsules from pharicies, walmarts, etc. Its aprox 7 bucks a bottle where im from. U can take 1000 mg a day for a year or 3000 mg a day for max 6 months as studies dont know enough about longterm use.

 

Im currently in suppressives, started an o.b. yesterday an im taking 2(500mg) x 3 times daily and it seems to be helping me so far!.

 

Every person is different tho. Hope it works for ya.
